WORKSHOP ON COCKTAIL MAKING Conducted on 05th March 2019
A cocktail is an alcoholic mixed drink, which is either a combination of spirits, or
one or more spirits along with other ingredients such as fruit juice, lemonade, flavored syrup, or
cream.
Cocktail plays a major role in Food & Beverage Service. As it is part of a subjects for our
students it was a great opportunity of them to learn in-depth of cocktail preparation by this
workshop.
The objective of the training session is to introduce the students with latest trends in bar tending
and making them familiar with creative and innovative techniques of making cocktails.
Department of Hotel Management was organized a workshop on” Innovation Cocktails & Bar
flaring” to our students on 05/03/2019.
The Professional people Mr. Nikil & Ms. Spoorthy from LIQUID ART – a Bar institution
located in jayanagar, they came and demonstrate some innovation cocktails to our students, and
had interaction session about the job opportunities of Bartender in different places in a
hospitality sector.
Mr. Nikil has thought some basic steps of juggling to our students
It is a physical skill, performed by a juggler, involving the manipulation of objects for
recreation, entertainment, art or sport. The most recognizable form of juggling is toss juggling.
It made students very amazed.
And also our students got opportunity to learn classical cocktails:

WORKSHOP ON VEGETABLES & FRUITS CARVING Conducted on 15 March 2019
Department of Hotel Management was organized a workshop on Vegetable & Fruits Carving to
our students on 15/03/2019. The Professional Chef R.P Bernard gave on demonstration session
to our students.
Vegetable & fruit carving is the art of carving either vegetable & fruits to form by imagining
with artistic idea with beautiful objects like flower, birds or any images.
It can be a demo or workshop some of the carving are done by imagining the picture or seeing
on object or even by drawing the picture.

Points to be note while doing a carving:
Table setup has to be done in a cool place.
Knife & carving kit should be kept ready in hand.
Sketch pen or marker can be used.
Cold water should be kept to maintain the crispness of the vegetables.
Carving should be cover with clean wrap.
Benefits of the workshop:
Students get the knowledge about how to handle the knife & vegetables.
Students get skilled & job opportunity more in & outside the country.
Certain students can be artist by doing those kind of carving.
