As we go through the admissions procedure in more detail, importantdates and deadlines for every step will be provided. An overview of thesedates and deadlines can be found in the table on page 11.

    1. Choose the undergraduate programs that suit you best

Before you begin your application, make sure you are an internationalapplicant. This basically depends on the high school you attend. If you areattending a school in a foreign country or an international school (in Italyor abroad), you will be considered an international applicant for theadmissions process.

The majority of first-year international applicants to Bocconi apply forour Bachelor of International Economics, Management and Financeprogram. For the fall of 2012 we will open three class groups (about 375places) in this program, which is taught in English. Bocconi reserves morethan half of its places in this program for international applicants.

    3. Fill out the online application

The online application includes compulsory and optional sections pleasefill in as much as you can.You will be asked to declare your first choice of study program, plussecond and third alternative choices.

    Important Details

    Winter and spring sessions

Applicants are evaluated on the basis of their marks for the third-last

and second-last years of secondary school, an aptitude test (the SAT,

ACT or Bocconi test),CV, personal statement and certificates (e.g.

language, IT).There is no minimum SAT or ACT score required in order to apply.

If you have an outstanding grade point average for the second-last and

third-last years of school (for example at least 8 out of 10 in the Italian

system or equivalent), an aptitude test is not a compulsory element of

evaluation. Please visit our website for information about the average

marks in your schools grading system required to skip the test (SAT, ACT

    or Bocconi test).

Even if you have outstanding grades, you may wish to submit your SAT or

ACT scores (or take the Bocconi test) before the deadline as a further

element in evaluating your application. If you decide to not submit test scores, you will need to submit your

high school syllabi for math and English subjects (for the third-last

and second-last years of high school).

Applicants participating in the winter session who are not

admitted cannot participate in the spring session. These applicants

can, however, take part in the fall session.

    Spring session: 20 October 2011 - 28 March 2012

ACT or Bocconi test) and on the academic records of the third-last

and second-last years of secondary school. Language or IT

    certificates will also be considered.

European Union citizens who were not accepted in the winter or spring

sessions may re-apply in this session.

Bocconi will not accept any application that does not include properdocumentation. It is to your advantage to send your dossier as soon aspossible. In particular, if you have any doubts about converting yourgrades, it is wise to leave enough time to take the SAT, ACT or the Bocconitest in Milan. You can check online to see if your dossier has been received and if it is

complete by clicking on the link Communications from Bocconi in theonline application area.

    Important Details

If you have not yet received your official SAT or ACT scores by the

deadline for submitting your application, you can attach a copy of the

unofficial score to the dossier and submit the official scores when they

become available. If you would like to take the SAT or ACT, be sure you

apply for the exam as soon as possible, as it usually takes around 2 months

to receive the test results. We recommend you take the SAT or ACT in thefall of 2011 so that results are available on time.

If you have outstanding high school grades (at least 8 out of 10 in the

Italian system or equivalent) and decide not to take an admissions test (SAT,

ACT or Bocconi test) you will need tosubmit your academic syllabi for

math and English for the third-last and second-last years of secondary

school. Syllabi must be original copies, with the school seal and translated

    into English.

Applicants with outstanding high school grades are still welcome to submit

SAT or ACT scores as an added part of the application.

We strongly suggest you submit your dossier as soon as possible,

especially if you choose not to take an aptitude test (SAT, ACT or Bocconi

test). If your high school grades are not as stated on your application and

do not meet the requirements, the Admissions Office will request that you

complete your application by taking the Bocconi test in Milan in February or

    April 2012.

Please use an envelope large enough to avoid folding documents. The

return address label will be available to print at the end of the application
