General Info

1. Students must ensure that all information in our either ONLINE or MANUAL applications are correct. Incorrect information may lead to a legal action taken against the student and dismissal from the University.

Admission Regulations

1.0 HEALTH SCREENING

Medical check-up is compulsory and health screening can be done at any KPJ Group of Hospitals. Since 1st January 2016, students are allowed to do their medical check-up at all government hospitals and “Klinik Kesihatan” (but the result may be released up to two or three months later). Please use the Medical Screening Form attached herewith.

Please bring the Medical Report during the registration day and send to the Department of Admission within a week after registration day. All cost of health screening will be borne by students. Please be informed that KPJUC have the right to revoke the offer if the report declares that the student is not fit to further their study and this decision is final. However, both students and KPJUC may discuss on the suitable programme if necessary.

2.0 REGISTRATION

The registration day and date are stated in the Letter of Offer. Kindly contact the Department of Admission @ 06- 708 2692 if you received the letter of offer after the date of registration. The registration is only valid to the intake session mentioned in the letter of offer. Please ensure all of information required in the Online Acceptance is completed before the registration day. Please call the Department of Admission if you are planning to register later from the official date.

3.0 FEE

The latest fee is available at our website www.kpjuc.edu.my.

3.1 Payment Method

a. The Registration Fee is RM500.00 only and MUST be paid before the registration day. b. Our methods of payment are as follows:

Internet/Online Banking – JomPay from any local banks

Ref-1 : Student IC No. (compulsory)

Ref-2 : Phone No. (option)

Credit Card / Debit Card at the Department of Finance, KPJUC Nilai

c. KPJUC do not accept any payment by cheques or cash. d. Registration Fee will not be reimbursed to students who withdraw from the University. e . Attach the payment slip in the Online Acceptance as an evidence of your payment.

3.2 Tuition Fee

a. Our tuition fee will be invoiced by semesterly basis. The fee should be paid before the final examination or clinical posting of that particular semester.

b. Students should show proof of payment within 3 days after the payment was made to the Department of Finance. Student’s account will only updated once the proof of payment is received.

c. Receipt will only issued for all succesful transactions. Keep your receipts for future reference.

3.3 Finance Policy

a. All students who intend to apply for PTPTN should open the Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad saving account. Any new account number should be immediately notified to the Department of Finance

b. Kindly forward any sponsorship letters (if any) to the Department of Finance for billing purposes.

c. All sponsored students must pay the University immediately if the sponsor forwards their payments to the student’s account.

d. There are cases where PTPTN holder students who also successfully secure scholarships from hospitals or from any other institutions. All payments that have been made by PTPTN will be reimbursed to the PTPTN account once the students are completed their study.

e. Other payments:

i. Student Activities Fee : RM90.00 (one off) ii. Re-sit for examination : RM50.00 per module/subject iii. Re-print examination transcript : RM50.00 per transcript iv. Confirmation of copy of transcript : RM100.00 v. Re-print of payment receipt : RM5.00 per receipt vi. Repeat Semester : according to the fees of the semester

Students are encouraged to contact the Department of Finance to discuss staggered payment of fee.

4.0 CHANGE OF ACADEMIC PROGRAMME

Change of programme is allowed when the following conditions are fulfilled: i. Complete and submit Change of Programme Form”, available at the Department of Admission. ii. Meet the entry requirement of proposed academic programme iii. Get approval from the current and proposed Dean of Schools

5.0 WITHDRAWAL PROCESS

i. Please complete the Withdrawal Form, available at the Department of Admission. ii. Kindly discuss your intention to withdraw with the Programme Coordinator prior filling in the form. Incomplete

form will not be processed. iii. Please make settlement payment for all the outstanding fee. iv. Please note that Registration Fee will not be refunded.

6.0 FINANCIAL AID

i. Our Financial Aid Unit is always ready to help all needy students. ii. Students are encouraged to attend our financial aid briefing to understand the available scholarships. iii. All terms and conditions for the PTPTN applications are available at www.ptptn.gov.my.

How to Apply for PTPTN

i. All applications are available online. ii. All online applications will be held at KPJUC computer lab to avoid any errors. Errors will lead to application

rejection

Opportunity to be sponsored by KPJ Group of Hospitals

All students have the opportunity to be fully or partially sponsored by our KPJ group of hospitals. The general terms and conditions are as follows:

i. Received 1st and 2nd semester examination results ii. GPA 3.0 and above iii. No disciplinary record AND iv. The result of scholarship is soley under the discretion of the hospitals v. Students may contact the hospitals directly or through our Financial Aid Unit

In general, all successful students will be bonded with sponsored hospitals. Other terms and conditions are also depending on the hospitals sponsorship policy.

7.0 INSURANCE

KPJ Healthcare University College provides students with in-patient medical insurance. The total coverage is RM5,000 per year and this amount is not inclusive of out-patient and follow-up cases. The purpose of insurance is to ensure our students are medically covered during their studies and practical training. The insurance can be utilized at either private or public hospitals.

8.0 HOSTEL ACCOMODATION

i. Accommodation will be provided during: - theoretical study - practical training

ii. For all Bachelor level of students, accommodation will only be provided during their first year of study only. For the subsequent years, accommodation will be provided for students with good academic & non-academic achievements and the selection also depends on the vacancy and other terms under the Department of Student Affairs.

iii. Both Diploma and Foundation students are compulsory to stay in the hostel throughout their study. Students may apply to stay outside campus with permission from the Department of Student Affairs. Rental will be borne by the students.

iv. The allocation of room/bed is done during the registration day v. Basic facilities which include bed and mattress, wardrobe, study table and chair are provided. vi. Students are required to bring their own pillow, blanket, bed sheets and other personal items. vii. Students are allowed to bring own vehicles but they must apply for the vehicle sticker from the Department of

Outsource and Administration. The rate is RM5.00 per sticker. viii. Cooking is not allowed for safety reasons. ix. Please refer to the hostel’s rules and regulations regularly. A comprehensive hostel regulations will be

distributed during orientation week.

9.0 ORIENTATION WEEK

Attending the Orientation Week, which is normally organized after the Registration Day, is COMPULSORY

To wear ‘baju kurung’, head cover/’tudung’, sports attire and sports shoes.

Note: All form of attire should be neat and proper.

10.0 DRESS CODE AND ETHICS

Uniform

Students under certain academic programmes will be required to wear an official uniform. Students will be provided with 2set of uniforms during their first year of study and 1 year each after that. This uniform must beworn during their practical training. An additional uniform can be ordered at the Department of Purchasing with an additional cost.

A RIGHT TO WITHDRAW THE OFFER

KPJ Healthcare University College reserves the right to withdraw this offer if you do not meet the above conditions particularly on the health status or providing any false information.
