The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladeshpresents its compliments to the Diplomatic Missions in Dhaka and has the honour to inform thatBanglades h Gove rnment ha s anno unced the Admi ss ion Ci rcula r in th e G ov ernmentMedical and De n tal colleges fo r the Academi c Year 2009 -2010.

The Ministry has the honour to state that, 54 (fifty four) sea ts in the MBBS Programme and 03(three) seats in the BDS Programme are reserved for the candida tes from SA ARC countries, while, 30(thirty) seats in the MBBS Programme and 02 (two) sea ts in theBDS Programme are reserved for thecandidates from Non-SAARC countries, It may kind ly be noted tha t seats in these highly prestigiousNational Institutions will be allocated on the basis of a combined merit list (from amongst interestedand qualified cand idates) only.

Criteria and Procedure of applica tion for Foreign Students in the said courses are faxedherewith (page 2) . A prescribed Applica tion Form is also faxed he rewith (page 3-5),

A) E q u iva le n ce o f For e ign Degree :

• Must have passed qualify ing exam inations (HSC/' A ' level o r equi val ent Exam)• SSC/ '0 ' level or equivalent Exam passed not before 2006• HSC/ •A ' level or equivalent Exam passed not alter 2009• Minimum GPA of SSC+HSC total: 8.00(Eight )• Minimum G PA either in SSC or in li Se: 3.50

> For the students who passed '0' Level (SSC/ ' O ' level or eg!!iva lent exam)­Onl y top 5 subj ects are considered (Score basis)-Ca lcu lat ion o f G PA in '0'level=(Sum total of the G rade Points in top Five subjccts-S).

> For the Students who passed' A' level (IISC/ .A ' level or equiva lent exam)­Only 3(th ree) subjects namely Physics. Chem istry and Biology areCons idered. B) Application form : Duly fi lled in application forms in triplicate along withfollowing documents and 6 pieces o f passport size photos arc to reach the Mini stry o fForeign Affai rs, Dhaka latest by 10 Decemher 2009.

• All the certificates mu st be attested by the competent au tho rity, that is theForeign Ministry of the respective country and also authenticated by therespecti ve Bangladesh Miss ions ab road .

• T he successful applicants will requi re to produce a ll academ ic cert ifi cates andmark-sheets in origina l du ring the ir adm ission.

C ) Fees: Students from SAARC countries will req uire to pay tuition and other fees atthe rate charged to a Bangladesh i student. The students ' from other countries will require topay S3000(Three Thousand only/year) pe r academ ic year in addition to the tuition fees at therate cha rged to Bangladesh students .

D ) Bank Draft: Eech app licant must have to attach with his/her application a non­refundable Demand Draft of USS50(fifty) payable to the Director. Medical Educat ion &IIMP D, DGHS, Mohakhali, Dhaka, Bangladesh ."

E ) Applicati ons transm itted th rough Bangladesh Missions abroad would only becons idered for admission procedure. Applicati ons (Through M iss ions) mu st reach theMin istry of Foreign Affairs no later than 10 Decem her 2009.
