V. Eligibility for admission to M .D.S. degree course:

Candidatesshould have qualified in the National Eligibility-cum-EntranceTest NEET-UG 2020 conducted by

national testing agency, New Delhi. Candidatesshould have obtained the minimum percentage of marks in

the qualifying examination asper Dental Council of Indianorms. For all other eligibility conditions, Dental

Council of Indiawebsite may be referred.

VI. Procedure of admission and detailsabout payment of fees:

After obtaining allotment order from the Selection committee, Directorate on M edical Education the allotted

student shall report to the office, Chettinad Dental College and Research Institute and submit the allotment

order, all original documents with 3 sets of xerox copies, Rs.50 bond paper in the name of students, 10

passport size photographs and pay the entire tuition fee and other applicable fees as per your quota for the


academic year 2019-20. Otherwise he/ she shall forfeit his/ her offer of admission to the course in the

Institution without any notice and will have no right to claim the seat, in future.

The payments can be made in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of “Chettinad Dental College &

Research Institute” payable at Chennai or Electronic Fund Transfer through RTGS / internet banking. Part

payment of tuition fee and other fee isnot permitted.

No extension of time for payment of fees or for submission of original certificates will be entertained under

any circumstance. Candidates provisionally selected for admission will have to undergo medical examination

at Chettinad Hospital and Research Institute and only those who are found medically fit will be allowed to join

the course.

which he/ she hasbeen admitted to, for any reason, (either on or) after the cut-off date prescribed by the

statutory authoritiesfor admission to the first year of the course or where the seat isrendered vacant without

having any chance of being filled up with any other candidate such studentswill have to remit the tuition fee

and other applicable fees for the ‘entire/ remaining course period’.

the eligibility, medical fitnessand such criteriaasmay be prescribed by the Dental Council of Indiaand Tamil

Nadu Dr. M GR M edical University.

Admitted studentsare bound by the Rulesand Regulationsof this Institution framed from time to time in the

matter of syllabus, examinations, fee structure, discipline and policy for refund of fee etc. The Institution

reservesthe right to change any of the conditionsenumerated periodically or for the purpose of complying

with any of the regulationsof the statutory councils.

Tuition fee and other duespayable in the subsequent academic yearsshall be paid by the studentswithin the

As per the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, University Grants Commission has framed

“Regulations on curbing the menace of ragging in Higher Educational Institutions, 2009” and the Dental

Council of India has framed “(Prevention and Prohibition of Ragging in Dental Colleges/ Institutions)

Regulations, 2009” and notified in the Govt. of India Gazette in order to prohibit, prevent and eliminate the

scourge of ragging. These regulations are mandatory and provisions are there for punishing those who abet

and indulge in ragging.
