Feast of the Holy Family (Cycle C) A Sunday Reflection PUT ON, AS GOD’S CHOSEN ONES, HOLY AND BELOVED… KINDNESS,
HUMILITY, GENTLENESS, AND PATIENCE (COL 3:12).
With the joy of Christmas still fresh in our hearts, we celebrate today the Holy Family, the example of what every family should be. What love filled the Blessed Mother’s heart when she received her Son! What gentleness and humility must have filled St. Joseph contemplating the treasure entrusted to him! Surely they exemplify that admonition of the Apostle that heads this reflection.
Another year is about to end; a year during which we have received God’s protection and blessings. The new year is approaching, one that will bring its own unique challenges, its own unique joys.
Let us entrust ourselves to the Holy Family of Nazareth that in this new year we may imitate their gentleness, their humility, compassion and mercy. Merry Christmas, and may God bless you in this New Year and always!

Reflexión Dominical COMO ELEGIDOS DE DIOS, SANTOS Y AMADOS, REVÍSTANSE DE…
BONDAD, HUMILDAD, MANSEDUMBRE, PACIENCIA (COL 3,12).
Con el gozo de la Navidad aún ardiendo en nuestros corazones, celebramos hoy la fiesta de la Sagrada Familia, el ejemplo de lo que toda familia debe ser. ¡Qué amor debió llenar el corazón de la Santísima Virgen al recibir a su Hijo! ¡Con qué mansedumbre y humildad contemplaría San José aquel tesoro que le fue encomendado! No cabe duda de que ambos encarnan esas virtudes que recomienda el Apóstol en la frase que abre esta reflexión.
Está a punto de acabarse el año; un año en el que hemos recibido la protección y las bendiciones de Dios. Se acerca el año nuevo, que traerá consigo sus propios retos y sus propias alegrías.
Pongámonos bajo la protección de la Sagrada Familia de Nazaret, para que en este año nuevo imitemos su mansedumbre, su humildad, su compasión y su misericordia. ¡Feliz Navidad! ¡Qué Dios los bendiga en este Año Nuevo y siempre!

Advent and Christmas began with the lighting of the Advent wreath, the feast of the Immaculate Conception, decorations, celebrations at the Grove Outreach, the handing of presents to the elderly and culminating with Christmas Mass.
