Adorn the Doctrine of God

Titus 2:10

Introduction:

Titus 2:10 says, “not purloining, but

showing all good fidelity; that they may

adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour

in all things.”

•Let us open our hearts to God’s word

and see how we can live this scripture

out in our lives. Revelation 22:14

First We Must Adorn Understanding Ephesians 5:17

•Are you adorning or degrading God’s doctrine?

•We must show all good fidelity in all things

that we do. Not as Titus 1:16 but James 2:18,23

•We can do this by listening to and studying to

understand God’s word that we may be wise.

•By reading it. Ephesians 3:3-5

•By giving all diligence to obtain this

knowledge. 2 Peter 1:5; 2 Tim. 2:15

We Must Adorn Respect

•Our respect for God is shown by abiding in

Christ’s teaching. 2 John 9-11

•We must teach only Christ’s doctrine

anything else would condemn us. 1 Tim. 1:3;

Galatians 1:6-9

•We should respect the fact that God’s ways

and thoughts are far above our own.

Isaiah 55:8-9

We Need To Obey His Doctrine

•…In all things which He has commanded.

Matthew 28:20

•This is our own choice to serve and obey

God and His righteousness. Rom. 6:17-18

•We willingly learn and become obedient

disciples of Christ. Mt. 28:18-20

•Our full intent is that we consciously live for

and serve God so that He and His doctrine

would never be blasphemed. 1 Timothy 6:1

It Is To Be A Continual Adorning

•In our private and public lives! Acts 2:42-47

•The need to continue in the things we have

learned from God’s word… 2 Tim. 3:14-15

•If we do not, like some, we will turn away

from the truth and be damned. 2 Tim. 4:1-4;

Hebrews 12:25

Adorn It And Contend For It

•God’s doctrine is called the faith which we

must earnestly contend for. Jude 3

•By so doing we will defend it! Philippians 1:17

•At the same time we shall use all

seriousness with meekness and fear.

1 Peter 3:15

•We shall not be ashamed of it but boldly

declare it wherever we go. Romans 1:16-17

Adorn IT With Consistency

•Live so all we be able to see that you are

consistent and true to the doctrine you teach

and believe. 1 Timothy 4:15-16

•You must set the right example for others.

Titus 2:5-7

•You should not be a hypocrite and

blaspheme… Romans 2:21-24

•Rather, truly glorify God by your good

works. Matthew 5:16

Be All That You Can By Adorning Your Life With God’s Teaching

•Let us all seek to adorn the doctrine of God

our Savior in all things while living a faithful

and true life in Christ! Galatians 2:20

•Have you started adorning God’s word yet?

•Hear and Believe it. Mark 16:16

•Repent. Acts 2:38

•Confess Christ. Acts 8:37

•Be baptized. Acts 22:16
