L’ADRIATICO • ADRIATIC SEA

L’Adriatico, da migliaia di anni è un crocevia di genti con storie, tradizioni e culture, è luogo di confronto e scambio tra diverse e importanti civiltà.

Questo Mare è unico al mondo grazie alle risorse naturali, al patrimonio storico e culturale e alla varietà dell’offerta turistica che abbraccia natura, cultura, storia, enogastronomia, salute, sport e divertimento.

L’Adriatico è un mare nel quale,specie durante il periodo estivo, è facile spostarsi grazie ai numerosi collegamenti marittimi interadriatici e di cabotaggio (crociere, traghetti, catamarani, aliscafi).

I numerosi porti sono pronti ad accogliere i passeggeri con servizi dedicati e sono ben collegati alle attrazioni delle città vicine mediante strade, ferrovie, autobus, percorsi pedonali e ciclabili.

For thousands of years, the Adriatic sea has been a crossroads of people bringing history, traditions and culture with them. A place for comparison and exchange between different civilisations.

This Sea is unique, thanks to the natural resources, cultural and historical heritage and the variety of tourism facilities on offer, which embrace nature, culture, history, food and wine and entertainment.

The Adriatic is a sea in which, in summer, it is easy to move, thanks to the numerous inter-Adriatic sea links and coasting trips available (cruises, ferries, catamarans and hydrofoils).

Numerous harbours are ready to welcome passengers with dedicated facilities and are well connected to the attractions of neighbouring towns by road, rail, bus, pedestrian and cycle paths.

MOBILITA’ • MOBILITY

Nel bacino Adriatico, la mobilità via mare potrebbe svolgere un ruolo cruciale, tuttavia non è ancora sufficientemente valorizzata, nonostante l'indiscusso potenziale, l'economicità, la sicurezza e la comodità rispetto al trasporto stradale.

Molto spesso l'utilizzo dell'auto viene preferito ai mezzi alternativi per mancanza di informazioni e di adeguate infrastrutture e servizi, che consentano di poter fruire agevolmente ed autonomamente del territorio.

Per questo, specialmente nei periodi estivi le coste e la natura vengono messi sotto pressione dagli enormi flussi automobilistici.

Maritime mobility could play a crucial role in the Adriatic area but its cost-effectiveness, safety and practical advantages, compared to road transport, have not been adequately exploited as yet, despite the unquestionable potential.

Cars are often preferred to other means of transport due to the lack of information and of appropriate infrastructures and services that would make independent exploration of the hinterland easy.

Hence, the intensive traffic that crowds the roads especially in summer puts considerable strain on both coastal areas and the natural environment.

ADRIMOB: IL PROGETTO • THE PROJECT

Il progetto ADRIMOB, finanziato dall'Unione Europea attraverso il Programma di Cooperazione Transfrontaliera IPA-Adriatico, intende favorire il trasporto marittimo passeggeri tra e lungo le coste adriatiche e il trasporto pubblico o ciclabile tra i porti e i territori retrostanti. Perchè ciò avvenga, è necessario rendere accoglienti le aree portuali e comodi gli spostamenti tra il porto, fondamentale snodo intermodale, ed i centri vicini.

ADRIMOB mira a migliorare le informazioni e a rafforzare ed integrare la rete dei trasporti a terra per consentire ai passeggeri, una volta sbarcati, di muoversi liberamente alla scoperta dei territori.

ADRIMOB prevede azioni di pianificazione strategica e la realizzazione di un sito web interattivo www.adrimob-ipa.eu con informazioni su tutte le possibilità di collegamento marittimo in Adriatico ma anche interventi concreti ed esemplari a favore della mobilità transfrontaliera integrata: per esempio il miglioramento dei collegamenti in bus dai terminal passeggeri al centro delle città o l’attivazione di bike sharing efficienti e punti informativi presso le aree portuali.

The ADRIMOB project, which is based on funds provided by the European Union through the IPA Adriatic Cross-border Cooperation Programme, is designed to promote maritime passenger transport between and along the Adriatic coasts by developing public transport and bicycle travel routes that link ports to the hinterland. Ports and related areas must, therefore, be attractive and transport between the port - a crucial intermodal junction - and neighbouring town centres must be well organised. ADRIMOB plans on improving the information provided and on strengthening and completing the road transport network in view of encouraging passengers to freely explore the surrounding region.

ADRIMOB will be implementing actions based on strategic planning, besides creating an interactive website www.adrimob-ipa.eu containing information on all the available maritime links in the Adriatic. The project also envisages concrete exemplary initiatives targeted at improving integrated cross-border mobility, such as, for instance, more efficient bus connections from passenger terminals to town centres, an efficient bike sharing service and information points in port areas.

PORTO DI BRINDISI • PORT OF BRINDISI

Brindisi, ponte verso la Grecia ed il Medio Oriente, fu fondata nell' VIII secolo a.C..

Sin dall'antichità ha sempre avuto rilevanza di crocevia per gli scambi economici e culturali tra le genti della penisola italica e quelle dell'area greca e dell'Asia Minore.

In questi ultimi anni Brindisi ha potuto sviluppare le sue aree portuali, creando nuove banchine e nuovi spazi a terra dedicati al traffico merci e passeggeri, alla nautica da diporto ed alle attività industriali della petrolchimica e dell'energia.

Brindisi, a bridge towards Greece and the Middle East, was founded in the 8th century BC. Since ancient times, it has always been an important crossroads for economic and cultural exchanges among the people of the Italian peninsula and those of the Greek area and Asia Minor.

In recent years, Brindisi has been able to develop its port areas, creating new quays and new spaces on land dedicated to freight and passenger traffic, pleasure boating and industrial activities in the petrochemical and energy sectors.

Il Porto di Bari, a Sud-Est dell’Italia, ha tre diverse funzioni: di transito transfrontaliero legato al traffico ferries; commerciale per il tessuto industriale; turistico, connesso al traffico crocieristico.

Gestito dall’Autorità Portuale del Levante, offre sempre maggiori servizi ed ha assunto un ruolo di carattere internazionale.

The Port of Bari, in Southeast Italy, has three different functions: cross-border transit of ferry traffic; commercial for the industrial fabric; tourism, linked to cruise ships.

Managed by the Aurtorità Portuale del Levante port authority, it offers increasingly efficient services and has taken on a role of international importance.

Al centro dell’Adriatico, Pescara è la porta d'accesso al sistema economico-produttivo ed al patrimonio storico, architettonico, culturale ed ambientale dell'Abruzzo.

Il Porto, a 5 km dall'Aeroporto Internazionale è direttamente collegato con la Rete autostradale e ferroviaria. E’ accessibile dal centrocittà attraverso il “Ponte del Mare” ciclabile-pedonale.

In the centre of the Adriatic, Pescara is the access port to the economic-manufacturing system and historical, architectural, cultural and environmental heritage of Abruzzo.

The port, located 5 km from the International Airport, is linked directly with the motorway and rail networks. It is accessible from the city centre via the cycle and pedestrian path “Ponte del Mare” (Sea Bridge).

Il porto di Fano è situato allo sbocco del Canale Albani ed è protetto da due moli (est ed ovest).

E’ costituito dal Canale, dal bacino di ponente (Darsena Pipeta), dal bacino di levante “Darsena Giurgin”, dalla “Nuova Darsena” e da un'altra darsena a nord della precedente dove è situato il porto turistico Marina dei Cesari, che è operativo dal Luglio 2003.

The Port of Fano is situated at the entrance to the Albani Canal and is protected by two piers (east and west).

It consists of the Canal, the west basin (Darsena Pipeta), the east basin “Darsena Giurgin”, the “Nuova Darsena” and another dock positioned north of the previous one, which houses the pleasure harbour of Marina dei Cesari, which has been operational since July 2003.

Il porto canale di Pesaro è situato sulla sponda destra della foce del Fiume Foglia ed è costituito dal canale di accesso, da un bacino di espansione, da un bacino di stazionamento e da un canale terminale.

E' interamente banchinato. L'ingresso in porto è stato reso molto più sicuro con il prolungamento del molo di levante.

The canal harbour of Pesaro is situated on the right bank of the mouth of the River Foglia and consists of the access canal, a detention basin, a mooring basin and a terminal canal.

It is lined entirely with quays. Entrance to the port has been made much safer with the extension of the east pier.

Il Porto di Rimini, di origine romana, ospita principalmente pescherecci e barche da diporto, ma non trascura il trasporto passeggeri. A dimostrare la sua lunga storia brilla ancora oggi il FARO costruito nel 1754. Nelle sue vicinanze è nato il “Marina di Rimini”, porto turistico annoverato tra i porti turistici più belli del mondo.

Il porto di Cattolica, prevalentemente peschereccio, è situato alla foce del fiume Tavollo ed è protetto da due moli. A disposizione dei natanti c’è ora anche la nuova darsena a fianco del Circolo Nautico, nella zona del Parco Acquatico Le Navi.

The Port of Rimini, of Roman origin, is home to mainly fishing boats and pleasure craft, but does not neglect the passenger traffic. To demonstrate its long history still shines today the FARO (lighthouse) built in 1754. Near it is born "Marina di Rimini", marina counted among the most beautiful marinas in the world.

The port of Cattolica is situated at the mouth of the Tavollo river and is protected by two quays. It is mainly used by the fishing industry. Crafts and boats can now use the new, recently opened, dock, situated next to the Circolo Nautico, in the Acquatic Park “Le Navi” area.

Il Porto Canale Leonardesco è il cuore pulsante di Cesenatico dove si mescolano arte cultura e divertimento. Sulle sue acque scivolano le barche da pesca, sui suoi argini la tradizione rivive attravero il gusto della cucina marinara e i molti eventi organizzati.

I turisti possono attraccare con i loro scafi da diporto direttamente nel porto canale, mentre la darsena e il porto turistico “Onda Marina” si trovano a 500 metri dal porto canale sul lato di ponente.

The Port Channel Leonardesco is the beating heart of Cesenatico where mix art, culture and fun. On its waters run fishing boats, the tradition lives on its banks through the taste of seafood and many events. A world to discover ...

Tourists can dock with their pleasure boats directly in the harbor, and the harbor and the marina "Onda Marina" is located 500 meters from the harbor on the west side.

Ravenna è uno dei principali porti italiani. Grazie alla sua posizione è importante per i traffici del Mediterraneo. Negli ultimi anni il traffico passeggeri è cresciuto, grazie ad un terminal crociere che movimenta circa 100.000 turisti ogni anno.

Il porto è via di accesso per la città di Ravenna, i lidi costieri, il Parco del Delta del Po, l’area Ferrarese e Romagnola fino a San Marino.

Ravenna is one of the main Italian ports. Thanks to its position, it is important for traffic in the Mediterranean. In recent years, passenger traffic has grown, thanks to a cruise terminal which receives about 100,000 tourists every year.

The port provides access to the town of Ravenna, the coastal lidos, the Po Delta Park, the Ferrara and Romagna areas as far as San Marino.
