Adult Learners Week grants information and guidelines1 – 8 September 2016
IntroductionAdult Learners Week is an opportunity to celebrate and promote lifelong learning. It recognises achievements in and raises awareness of adult education, providing an opportunity for organisations to promote what they do in the wider community.
Special promotional activities run by community organisations are central to Adult Learners Week. Each year the Department of Business (DoB) have four $5000 (plus GST) funding grants available for organisations in the Adult and Community Education sector in the Northern Territory to support these activities. Grants are limited so act quickly.
You can either work as a single organisation or together with another organisation in your area by including them in your application. Joining with other organisations in your community may allow you to hold a bigger event or a variety of activities at the same time.
