GIVIDI FABRICS manufactures Technical Fabricsin one of the most advanced weaving facilities inthe world; founded in 1962, today the companyhas a state-of-the-art technological productionstructure and has an installed annual capacity ofmore than 30 million square meters of fabrics.GIVIDI FABRICS produces the highest qualitytechnical fabrics for your most demandingapplications based on E glass, High Modulus Rglass and High Strength S glass, Aramid fibers, other High-Strength/High-Performance fibersand Hybrids. Thanks to our long experience andknowledge of high performing fibers aswell as to our extensive R&Dfacilities andcapabilities, weare proud toprovide theresources andexpertise forinnovativesolutions to meetevolving customerneeds.GIVIDI FABRICSproduces alsoreinforcementstreated with severalweave-set types, includingthermoplasticmatrices, ideal forpreforming andstabilisation as well as foremerging Organo-sheets applications.GIVIDI FABRICS is a serious, efficient, reliableand technologically advanced Italian companypart of GIVIDI Group. The quality of its products, the quest forcontinuous improvement and a passion forinnovation characterize GIVIDI FABRICS’ activityand have contributed to make GIVIDI FABRICSan undisputable reference point in its marketsegment by delivering high quality innovativesolutions that maximize value for the customers. For more than 50 years GIVIDI FABRICSproducts have been used in compositesapplication, from racing boats and cars to luxuryyachts; today GIVIDI FABRICS’ reinforcementsare used in several advanced compositeapplications in commercial Aerospace, Railway

and Automotive programs.Technical reinforcements from GIVIDI FABRICSare available in a wide range of weights, weavepatterns and fibers. They provide mechanicalstrength, stiffness and weight reductionpossibilities compared to other materials.Depending on the technical requirements of theend product, GIVIDI FABRICS can developreinforcements leveraging each fiber type uniquecharacteristics as well as choosing the bestweave construction and pattern to maximize the

mechanical performance of thereinforcement in

Customer’sapplication.GIVIDIFABRICS’unique know-how andexperience insurface

chemistry, gathered in itslong history as a

leading producer ofreinforcement for

electronics applications,particularly for High Frequency

resin matrices with the most stringentperformance and quality requirements, has led to the development of Finishrecipes and processes for hightemperature resistance, excellent wet-outand best resin compatibility for theproduction of void-free prepregs and parts.Specific Finishes have been developed forLow Dk resin systems used in High Frequency

applications like HF PCBs, Antennas andRadomes.GIVIDI FABRICS’ Fiber Spreading Technologycan be applied to reinforcements to minimizeporosity, enhance wet-out for morehomogeneous, thinner composites.GIVIDI FABRICS’ products are intrinsicallytechnical products and therefore all of our SalesTeam members have a Technical background tobe able to provide technical insight from the verybeginning of any inquiry. This, together with our Technical and R&D teams, contributes to deliver unequalled sales andtechnical Service to our customers both beforeand after sales.

TYPICAL ORGANO SHEETS STYLES

ORGANO SHEETSIn recent years, continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic semi-finished composites, commonly referred to asOrgano Sheets, have quickly become of increasing interest in Advanced Composites applications due to theircombined advantages in processing (shorter cycle times),good impact strength, possibility of high level functional integration and overall lower cost compared to thermoset parts. GIVIDI FABRICS has recently developed Organo Sheets based on PA, PP, TPU and other thermoplastic resin systems both for direct forming or for the increasingly popularforming with back injection molding; choosing the right reinforcement and thermoplastic resin in conjunctionwith back injection molding may enable the integration of details like localized targeted reinforcement, mounting holes or other features further reducing the overall cost of the finished part.

WEAVE SET FABRICS

WEAVE-SETSSince many years, GIVIDI FABRICS has been developing several weave-sets to stabilize its fabrics andwoven rovings to improve handling, adhesion properties and other functionalities as well as to reducematerial waste and manufacturing cycles in customers’ processing. By selecting the most appropriate resinmatrix and resin content (3-15%) for customers’ applications, GIVIDI FABRICS weave-set reinforcementssignificantly enhance the performance of the end product. Weave sets can be based on Acrylic, PU, Epoxy,Polyester and several other types of polymers and copolymers; different colours are also available.
