The PNP-M monocular/binocular system is the result ofsuch close co-operations and is a state of the art worldbeating product which is complemented by a widerange of specially developed accessories enabling theuser to perform a huge variety of missions based on justone sensor platform --- PNP-M.

Designed, developed and manufactured in Britain byPyser-SGI to ISO 9001 quality levels the PNP-M is thesmallest and lightest monocular in its class. It uses anadvanced glass reinforced polymer body with a centreof mass as far to the rear as possible to minimise neckstrain during prolonged operations, a single commercial“AA” battery for light weight which gives at least 40 hoursoperation, high quality multi element all-glass coatedoptics for maximum image quality and the entiremonocular body, electronics and optics are filled with dry

nitrogen for ultimate reliability in all missions includingdown to 20 metres immersion.

ANVIS type image intensifiers are fitted including PhotonisAutogated and non Autogated types in a range ofperformance levels up to typical Figures of Merit of 2016for the most demanding missions and Gen 3 tubes arealso available if preferred.

Useable in hand held, helmet mounted, head mounted,monocular or binocular form using the quick fit binocularbridge as well as in quick mount/quick release throw leverPicatinny weapon mounted mode behind day sights, thePNP-M does everything. And this includes add-onmagnifying lenses for monocular and binocular use,sacrificial and anti-mist filters, adaptors for attachinginstantly to camcorders, SLR cameras, CCTV camerasand even spotting scopes for long distance highmagnification surveillance. You can even power the PNP-M in both monocular and binocular form directly from avehicle cigarette lighter socket or any 12v supply.

As well as the in-built IR illuminator there is an in-built daylightbright light photo sensor which prevents accidentaloperation of the monocular during daylight except whenit is disabled for daylight training. This protection, ofcourse, does not activate in darkness in the case of brightflashes, vehicle headlights even at very short distances,nor in street lighting or inside illuminated rooms. Forsecurity and convenience the PNP-M monocular on itshelmet or head mount auto switches off when flipped upand auto switches on with no switch resetting neededwhen flipped back down again. Shuttered rubbereyecups are also available which simply screw on withoutneeding to remove the normal soft fold-back eyecup. Foradded security a red LED inside the 27mm eye reliefeyepiece illuminates when the IR diode is switched onand a yellow LED in the eyepiece warns against a lowbattery charge situation.

And of course all accessories can be used with no toolsrequired for attachment, adjustment or operation.

PNP-MC is a powerful, multi-purpose pocket-sizedmonocular night scope. The pocket scope isdesigned to be used either as a stand-alone night visiondevice or in combination with a wide variety of standardvideo, still-photo, CCTV equipment and spotting scopes.

Now available with tubes including FC (export licenceexempt**) as well as standard licence HD High Definition,XD-4 and XR5. XD-4 and XR5 models can also be supplied with AutoGating and FC, HD, XD-4 and XR5 are available withgreen or black and white tubes.**Does not require UK Export Licence but not available to countries on UN/EU/UKEmbargo/Sanctions Lists.

It is ideally suited for covert night-time observation andintelligence-gathering purposes either hand held orusing standard photographic media, as well as aneffective aid to night-time field missions.

PNP-MC employs a choice of image intensifier tubescharacterized by high resolution and a clear, brightimage including autogated types. It is equipped withits own IR LED - type illuminator, which providesadditional, close-range covert illumination, whenambient light is insufficient - especially effective insidebuildings etc. A red LED in the eyepiece illuminates

when the IR illuminator is on as does a yellow LED whena low battery state occurs.

A unique feature is the standard C-mount for theobjective lens, enabling standard CCTV camera lensesto be used. Special purpose adaptors enable the PNPto be mounted onto the filter thread of the objectivelens of a wide variety of 35mm DSLR/SLR and videocameras (including CCTV cameras). Using the optionaloptical modules it is possible to mount PNP-MC (andPNP-M) directly onto Canon/Nikon and Pentax DSLR /SLRcamera bodies without using the original camera lensor filter thread adaptor. In addition a further range ofadaptors allow SLR camera lenses to be used on thePNP-MC in place of CCTV lenses. Thus, standardphotographic equipment can be quickly turned intopowerful, effective night-time devices, dramaticallyenhancing your intelligence gathering and observationcapability.

The PNP-MS red dot image intensifier night vision weaponsight is based on the highly successful PNP-M, the world’ssmallest, lightest and best night vision monocular.

It incorporates an illuminated red dot aiming mark forrapid and precise target acquisition, the on/off switchgiving the choice of low and high red dot brightnesslevels. The superimposition of the red dot on the greenimage intensified picture considerably enhances thespeed and clarity of aiming as a result of the instantlyobvious colour difference and is much appreciated byfirers using red dot or holographic day sights.

Mounted as standard on the proven Picatinny sightmount, windage and elevation click adjustments aremade by slotted screws suitable for coins or screwdrivers.

The PNP-MS is available in a wide range of imageintensifier tube specifications, has four lens options,protected by rugged Butler Creek flip up lens caps, giving1x , 2x , 3x and 6x magnifications and making it ideallysuitable for all small arms in calibres 4.6mm to 9mm.

Nitrogen filled, the PNP-MS is submersion resistant to 20mfor one hour and this, coupled with its use of only one AA commercial battery giving an autonomy of at least 40 hours, makes it suitable for even the most demanding missions.

In addition the PNP-MS can be quickly removed from the weapon to be used as a hand held night visionmonocular using accessories of the world beating PNP-M monocular.

The PNP-MS sight is made by Pyser-SGI in Britain to ISO9001 quality standards and meets the operationalrequirements of military and police operations in allenvironments.

PNP-MUNS Universal Night Sights are state of the art in-line image intensified, rugged, lightweight and compactweapon sights designed specifically to be used in front ofdayscopes from 1x to 16x magnification and higher withfront lenses up to 60mm diameter.

The advanced in-line optical design, with no prisms, doesnot affect the zero of the weapon, nor the user’s normalfiring position and does not create any parallax errors.

The PNP-MUNS is attached and released instantly from theweapon’s Picatinny rail by means of its over-centre throwlever and no tools are needed to attach, release or operateit. PNP-MUNS can also be used as a stand-alone hand heldnight vision surveillance tool.

PNP-MUNS can be supplied with a wide choice of imageintensifier tubes up to FOM 2016, including Autogated types,for the most demanding missions and it needs only one “AA”battery to operate it from 40 to 100 hours depending onbattery type and model of intensifier tube.

PNP-MUNS is available in 2 versions: PNP-MUNS 600, weighing667g and PNP-MUNS 900, which weighs only 937g and offers

extra focal length for enhanced detail. Both versions arewaterproof to 20 metres for 1 hour; each has a lens cap onthe front for total protection against dust, dirt and water. Bothversions have a fine distance focus adjustment for optimumperformance.

PNP-MUNS 600 is recommended for distances up to 600mand PNP-MUNS 900 up to 900m.

The product also has a fold-back moulded rubber rear hoodto prevent any green reflected glow on the front lens ofdayscopes up to 60mm diameter.

Designed, developed and manufactured in Britain byPyser-SGI to ISO 9001 quality levels the PNP-MTHD/MTSDis the world’s smallest and lightest thermal imagingmonocular. It uses an advanced glass reinforcedpolymer main body with a centre of mass as far to therear as possible to minimise neck strain duringprolonged operations. Two CR123 batteries, for lightweight, give up to 5 hours’ continuous operation. The unique Near Eye OLED display always produces alarge crisp image right in front of the eye andovercomes the “tunnel vision” problem common ininferior designs.This gives an image having an apparent angle of viewof 35° horizontally, which is similar to that of the humaneye and therefore considerably aids speed and clarityof target acquisition. When head/helmet worn in the17mm lens option model the image as seen by theuser is 1:1 ratio to actual size, thereby enhancingjudgements of distance and safety of manoeuvre. The25mm and 35mm give Search & Rescue capability witha 1.5 & 2x optical magnification respectively.

Usable hand held, helmet mounted, head mounted ortripod mounted, the PNP-MTHD/MTSD does everything.This includes optional anti-mist filters and adaptors forattaching instantly to camcorders, DSLR cameras andCCTV cameras for total darkness surveillance. You can

even power the PNP-MTHD/MTSD directly from a vehiclecigarette lighter socket (via optional Pyser adaptor)supply and take the live PAL video directly to anycompatible recording device or transmitter at the sametime as viewing with the naked eye.

For security and convenience the PNP-MTHD/MTSDmonocular on its helmet or head mount auto switchesoff when flipped up and auto switches on with no switchresetting needed when flipped back down again.Shuttered rubber eyecups are also available whichsimply screw on without needing to remove the normalsoft fold-back eyecup.

VISIThermal Observation System



Designed specifically for surveillance, the Pyser-SGI VISI thermal observation scope allows 24/7 use. It can be comfortably hand held, or mounted on a tripod, and enables the user to detect humans at almost 3 km and vehicles at up to 7 km.

VISI is available with thermal detectors of either 384x288 or640x480 resolution and with a choice of optics giving either3X or 5X basic magnification, horizontal angles of view of either 7 degrees (125 mils) or 12 degrees (210 mils) and detection ranges of up to 2760m (man) and 7000m (vehicle).

Standard Definition models (SD) also have a 2x electroniczoom giving a total of 6X or 10X magnification in addition tothe basic 3X and 5X magnifications. High Definition models(HD) incorporate both a 2X and a 4X zoom giving total mag-nifications of 3X, 6X and 12X (HD 45 model) or 5X, 10X and20X in the case of the HD 75 version.

Light enough to be hand held but rapidly attached with no tools to any tripod, VISI is operational withineight seconds from switch on. Simple, intuitive push buttoncontrols make it an extremely easy unit to use while offeringthe user a fully featured advanced surveillance tool, including video out & power in.

Large diameter eyepiece optics with very long eye reliefmake VISI extremely user friendly. Affordable and virtuallymaintenance free, it is the ideal choice for law enforcement, border protection, public safety, search andrescue, fire fighting and security.

MUNSTI is a state of the art compact, lightweight and highperformance uncooled Thermal Imaging clip-on sight foruse in front of any day optical sight with magnificationsup to 16X and more, making it ideally suitable for sniperweapons, anti-materiel weapons and any weaponwhere the user wishes to leave the daysight in place.

It allows detection ranges up to 2760m (man) and7000m (vehicle), allows the firer to attach it instantly by itsover-centre throw lever shock absorber base on to thePicatinny rail, and switch on to use within eight secondswithout affecting the zero of the day sight.

The PDS4.5 combat optical daysight represents the state-of-the-art in hi-tech sights for assault rifles and sub-machineguns. Francis Barker Laser CollimatorPyser-SGI Limited are pleased to announce an

extension to their range of small arms zeroing

collimators with the development of the Francis

Barker laser collimator.

In out-of-country, covert and peace keeping missions

live firing is frequently impossible. Lack of resources

to check the alignment of weapon sighting systems

quickly and often means that the operational advan-

tages of mounting laser aimers on small arms can be

easily compromised. With the introduction of the

Francis Barker laser collimator, night fighting forces

can now be quipped with a simple, cost effective

device which gives them the ability to zero and check

the zero of their lasers in the field without the need

to fire their weapons at anytime day or night. Based

on the same successful design concept as the small

arms collimator the laser collimator gives your front

line night fighting force total confidence in their

advanced sighting systems.

Alignment of the laser pointer is easily achieved by

adjusting it to align with the centre of the collimator

reticle, the laser light spot being viewed through the

night vision goggles while this adjustment is being

made. The entire process is completed in seconds.

The unit is passive and requires no power source for

its operation. Designed for front line use and built to

exacting military standards, the unit consists of a

one-piece rigid aluminium casting with a fixed

spigot. As users cannot alter settings, the laser colli-

mator requires no calibration prior to use.

Francis Barker laser collimators are available for all

small arms from 5.56 to 12.7mm calibres equipped

with any type of invisible laser aimer and are pre-set

during manufacture to the zeroing range specified by

the customer to give zeroing accuracies and

repeatability to within ±0.25mil (±2.5cm at 100

metres).

Based on the same design and operational concept as the highly successful world-leading family of“Francis Barker” Small Arms Collimators in standard issue with all UK Armed Forces, the Baton Gun Collimatoris configured to the specific characteristics of the Heckler & Koch L104A1 37mm weapon.

The Baton Gun Collimator will zero the iron sight or the opticalsight of an unzeroed weapon within seconds to a commonaverage zero position or to a personal zero position of that hasbeen established by prior live firing of a group. Training takes justa few minutes and it’s use provides a high degree of confidencein the weapon system and ensures that, when the weapon isused, it will be effective and accurately zeroed. It also allowsverification of zero setting post-incident if required.

The single piece, rigid aluminium casting with sealed andpurged optics, allows users to zero their weapons, without theneed for live firing and to check or re-gain zero in a matter ofseconds any time any place.

Simply insert the collimator into the barrel of the weapon andalign the sight aiming mark or foresight tip with the markings onthe SAC graticule to either a common zero position or, whereknown, to a personal zero position.

As SACs are not adjustable and have no moving parts, they willgive an accurate and repeatable result every time.

All of the components, excluding the spigot tube, are identicalto those used in all “Francis Barker” Small Arms Collimators andthis rugged design has been proven to give years of trouble freeand reliable service, requiring no maintenance and with very lowthrough life cost.

As the lands of the L104A1 stand proud of the grooves and areextremely narrow, the spigot tube is made from engineeringgrade “Delrin” to prevent possible land damage which couldoccur if standard SAC spigot steel were used for this purpose.Given the compliant nature of “Delrin” the accuracy andrepeatability is approximately ±1.5 MILS (± 3cm at 20m) whichcompares very favourably with the round calibre of 37mm andthe purpose of the weapon.

The PDNVD 2400 Viewing Device is acompact robust lightweight camerabased surveillance system, especiallyconfigured for rapid deploymentsurveillance above and aroundparapets, walls and from Sangers wherespace is extremely limited, with zoomcapability and with zero light detectionin excess of 1km.

The system comprises a rugged sealeddual camera housing containing acolour/low light IR enhancedmonochrome camera with integral autofocus motorised zoom lens and athermal surveillance camera withdetection capability at 1 km .

The camera housing is fixed to amanual tilt bracket on top of a ruggedfully variable height telescopicmonopod which extends from 1 metreto 2.4 metres and the simple systemallows full pan and tilt operation.

A high resolution rugged LCD monitor isattached to the upper part of the lowersection of the monopod and below it is an intuitive camera select and controlmodule containing a battery pack forautonomous operation in excess of 2hours. An auxiliary power input socket isincorporated for external 12v supply forextended periods of operation.

The simplicity of design and intuitivenature of the controls allows its use byany soldier after only a few minutestraining and the unit requires onlyminimal maintenance. As the system ispermanently fully assembled itsoperation only requires switching it onand video is available instantly using theday camera and after only 4 secondswith the thermal camera.

Part No 8256015 is the basic generic Danos 2 System complete, the Camera Head/Outstation being connected bycable to the Control Station but with the choice of Mini TIU3thermal camera still to be added.

The choice of thermal camera uses the Danos 2 code appearingagainst each camera in the table on page 3. This code is added to the end of the generic part number above.For example 8256015H45 is a complete Danos 2 system usinga Mini TIU3 High Definition camera with a 45mm lens, H mean-ing High Definition and 45 defining the lens focal length.

Adding more Camera Head/Outstations

The Control Station is pre-equipped as standard to serve up tofour Camera Head/Outstations with no modification necessary. This means that more can be added later in addition to the initial number ordered. So up to three extra outstations can beadded as extra modules to the basic single outstation system,either as part of the initial system or at a later date.In common with the initial outstation each additional oneincludes the complete equipment list and day camera listedunder point 2 above.

Additional units use exactly the same part number as the basicsystem but with the addition of the number 2, 3 or 4 – each number defining an outstation.

PROMS 2 provides ultra long range Surveillance Target Acquisition using its combination of day oroptional night sensor technology providing much higher times magnification than normal spotting scopes in service today.

PROMS 2 is man portable and can be rapidly deployed within a few minutes. With its unique remote monitoring system, surveillance operators are able to monitor and record information observed from the target area well away from where thesensor platform is deployed. This allows operators to work in complete safety and allows the use of multiple observerswithout compromising the position of the sensor platform or the operator.

OperationSimply find a location, set up the primary optical module and the selected secondary optical module (high mag,medium mag or optional low or ultra low mags), connect control station and pictures will be relayed in live video to theLCD up to 90 metres away. Cables are supplied as standard for stand-offs of 10m, 80m and 90m. Use the coarseadjustment along with the finder scope to get on target, then target precisely using the fine vertical and horizontalmicrometric knobs. 100% optical zooming and precise focussing are then available by simple manual controls.

Sensor platform quick releases from the low profile sniper type tripod and attaches to any full size tripod fitted with worldstandard 1/4” UNC thread while maintaining full use of the special coarse / ultra fine adjustment pan and tilt head.

The control station incorporates simple, user friendly controls operating on/off, electronic image enhancement of fullscreen and windows selection for zone enhancement, electronic image stabilisation to eliminate vibration and DVRrecorder on/off/replay.

Electronic Image Stabilisation Unit


The Pyser-SGI Electronic Image Stabilisation Unit uses the very latest electronic image processing technologyto reduce camera shake, leaving operators with clear and steady video. It increases the effectiveoperational range of high-zoom surveillance cameras where the slightest mechanical movement canintroduce picture shake.

The unit is simply installed in-line with the viewing monitor and is compatible with either live or pre-recordedvideo. It operates by employing ultra-fast video motion analysis techniques to remove the shake in real-time,resulting in stable video, which is far easier to view. The Electronic Image Stabilisation Unit can also improvethe performance of digital compression systems, such as Internet or ISDN video links, as stable imagescompress more efficiently.

The Pyser-SGI Electronic Image Stabilisation Unit operates by locking onto detail within the incoming video todifferentiate between shake and background. Once locked, each video frame is repositioned to removeany shake resulting in clear and steady video. This is achieved by complex software algorithms running onthe very latest multimedia hardware chip - the Philips Nexperia®. The unit has been specially developed tocope with demanding image stabilisation situations such as noisy video sources (eg low-light cameras),movement of large objects within the scene and operation with pan, tilt and zoom installations.

It is supplied as a strongly recommended optional accessory for PROMS and other long focal lengthcameras and camera systems manufactured by Pyser-SGI and is fully compatible with any product givinga PAL composite video signal, both live and pre-recorded.

The EV9 Image Enhancer electronically processes any incoming video signal for maximum imagequality. It transforms hard to distinguish scenes as seen through a CCTV, video camera or pre-recorded video source into brilliant and crisp images viewed on a monitor, video recorder orprinter. The EV9 Image Enhancer is employed extensively by security and intelligence forces throughoutthe world to improve surveillance material. It minimises effects caused by poor atmospheric conditions such as fog, rain and flare from the sun making it ideal for surveillance in poor weather. It's ability to eliminate glare from vehicle headlights and street lamps allows the user toidentify otherwise obscured number plates and persons or objects indistinguishable in back litareas. Routing the video signal through the EV9 Image Enhancer could not be simpler. Only 3 connections need to be made; video in, video out and power in.

In addition to being simple to set up, the EV9 Image Enhancer operates using just 2 rotary switches and a rocker switch. One of the rotary switches turns the device on and off. When on, itgives the option of viewing the enhanced image either as a full screen or as one of the 10 window options. The other rotary switch allows the operator to choose between the 10 windowsaccording to the area that they wish to enhance. By turning on the rocker switch greater line definition and general crispness can be obtained.
