Advancing Global Health:ETHICAL AND LOGISTICAL ISSUESMonday, December 5, 2016

Overview/Statement of NeedCurrently, there is unprecedented interest in global health on the part of students and faculty. We are all seeking answers to many of the same questions and situations. Universities banding together on global health can learn from each other, and demonstrate to the world what works best. This includes forging collaborations and promoting the exchange of knowledge and experience in global health across disciplines in universities today.

GoalsThe purpose of this conference is to bring the leadership and faculty in global health together for a day of sharing experiences and best practices in global health and to further explore and review these essential areas:

• Building sustainable global partnerships• Global health and medical education

Learning Objectives• Integrate global health courses into current

medical education curriculum.• Create more robust and secure global health

fellowship programs for medical students.• Show how global health centers can build the

concept of parity and sustainability into research projects and community sites.

Intended AudienceThis conference is aimed at the leadership, management, and faculty of academic global health centers throughout the US.
