It does not pollute air or water. It does not destroy the environment or release toxic gases. Also, wind turbines do not cause acid rain or greenhouse gases or other atmospheric emissions. Wind energy is also a domestic source. The USA has a great wind supply, so wind energy is domestic in the USA. Also, wind energy is sustainable. This means it can be maintained. Wind is a form of solar energy. Winds are caused by many things including the heating of the atmosphere by the Sun. Wind energy is one of the low priced renewable energy technologies. It costs between 4 to 6 cents per kilowatt hour. Also, wind energy is renewable, which means it can be produced again and again. Wind turbines are required to make wind energy. Wind turbines need to be installed and maintained. These tasks have to be done by people and so jobs are created. Wind energy has many pros. Wind energy has some disadvantages as well. Wind energy is created by wind turbines. For example, the wind turbine blades made damage wildlife. Sometimes, birds have been killed by flying into the rotors.
