1 Introduction The Custom Menu feature provides operators with quick access to a selection of frequently used menu display pages. This menu is configured using WSOS, and when loaded to the controller is easily accessed by a field operator. WSOS incorporates a Menu Configuration tool from where the required fields are selected and the behaviour of the menu is set up. Both types of operator interface (setVUE and flexVUE) are capable of displaying custom menus. However, due to the different characteristics of the interface modules the custom menus are also different and cannot be interchanged. This is mainly due to the difference in underlying standard menu structure, display page format and size. Please refer to the ADVC Controller Range user guide (part number ADVC2-1160) for a more information regarding the operator interface options and operation. Figure 1 to Figure 4 illustrates some of the major differences.

The Custom Menu pages are displayed in sequence. Operators can manually cycle through the list, or automatically for a preset viewing time. The custom menu is separate to the standard menu and operators can easily swap between the two. This allows ease of access to a selection of essential data in the custom menu or, if needed, full access to the entire menu structure.

3 Custom Menu The ADVC Controller can be configured such that the user is shown a custom menu containing only those pages from the standard menu that are of interest. Up to 40 pages can be mapped to the custom menu. Selection of custom menu screens can only be done via the WSOS5 Configuration - Menu Configuration window. If features are unavailable offline in WSOS, the corresponding pages cannot be selected in the Custom Menu (WSOS Menu Configuration page). If a page selected in the Custom Menu ends up being empty (no data), it will be skipped by the custom Menu.

3.1 Rotating Custom Menu The custom menu can be placed in rotation mode. When in rotation mode the panel will continuously cycle through the custom menu screens. The period of the cycle is user configurable. This allows users to view all relevant settings or find a particular page without pressing a key on the panel. Enabling/disabling the rotating screen feature as well as setting the rotation delay period can only be done via the WSOS5 Configuration - Menu Configuration window shown above. Refer to the WSOS5 help file for more information.

3.2 Custom/Standard Menu Navigation The custom and standard menus are designed to co-exist on the ADVC. If a custom menu has been configured it, rather than the standard menu, is shown by default. The standard menu display is always available. In all circumstances movement around the standard menu is as described in the products Installation and Maintenance manual. Switching between the custom and standard menus is achieved by: Switching between custom and standard menu setVUE flexVUE Display the standard menu Menu key Menu key Display the custom menu Custom Menu
