    Adventure tourism

    Adventure tourism is a type of niche tourism involvingexploration or travel to remote, exotic and possibly hostileareas, where the traveler are provided a challenge, thrill orintense experience.

    Adventure tourism is rapidly growing in popularity as touristsseek unusual holidays, different from the typical beachvacation.

    "adventure travel" usually include two of the following threecomponents: a physical activity, a cultural exchange orinteraction, and engagement with nature.

    In general, adventure tourism relies on natural, environmentalfeatures, such as mountains, rivers, forests, and the like.
