Dear Colleague and Collaborative

There are many kinds of conference to communicate on increasing high technology, all over the world. However,

there are still many walls between sciences/engineering and business/economy to communicate.

During the 1980's it also became apparent that communications, computers and signal processing were fast becoming

the engines of a new economy and business. Nowadays, the human-centered engineering and science has also been

increasing in every field through fusion of various technologies.

I think it is very important for the information exchange in sciences/engineering and economic/business to coexist

and create a new paradigm for the next generation. The vital information exchange in different area has always been

affecting to new creativity. That is why we are going to make a multi-conference in one site on all over the topic or area.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the first Multi-Conference engineering, Science, Business, Economy,

Computing, Communication, and Control Technologies and so on), DIHCA2005 (Daeduck International Conference on Human-Centered Advance Intelligent Technology 2005), we are pleased to invite you to participate in the committee (contact: [email protected]) that will be held from September 25-27, 2005 in Daeduck Science Town, Daejeon, South Korea (Yuseong Hotel), under the auspices and with the sponsorship of the KOSEF (Korea Science and Eng. Foundation), KEPRI (Korea Electric Power Research Institute), KEESRI (Korea Electrical Engineering & Science Research Institute), Daejeon City.

We are also extending this invitation to you to participate in the area of your research, or in any other area of your research interest included in the areas of the conference. You can have complete details of DHICA2005 on the Conference web-site at: http://dihca2005.hanbat.ac.kr Also, you can participate submitting a paper or organizing an invited session or special session organized by yourselves. Invited sessions organizers have the autonomy in promoting their sessions, reviewing the papers collected by them, appointing the possible additional reviewers for the session papers, accepting invited papers or talks (i.e. non reviewed papers), chairing their respective session(s) and appointing their co-organizer and/or co-chair.

During conference, we are going to have Korean traditional culture event. For more information about this event, you can contact the conference web site at http://dihca2005.hanbat.ac.kr I am expecting to see you and

garden, Rear Garden "Huwon" was used by the king and royal family during the Joseon Dynasty as a place for

relaxation. It holds many ponds, pavilions and wooded areas containing thousand-year-old trees. Jogyesa Temple is

one of the largest Buddhist temples to be found within the city limits. Headquarters of the Jogyejong

sect, JogyesaTemple is famous for its Lantern Festival, which is held every spring to commemorate Buddha's birthday.

Then, Let's go to the local open market with all various things such as leather jackets & travelers luggage, souvenirs,

shoes to shop around. You will see all the people shopping there in the famous Namdaemun Open Market. Nature is

harmonized with old architecture.

2. Royal Palace & Museum Tour : Gyeongbokgung Palace -National Folk Museum - Insadong Antique

Street Tracing five hundred years back to Joseon dynasty and picture yourself standing in the center of Geunjeongjeon Hall of

the royal place. Gyeongbok Palace was built in 1395 by King Taejo the founder of Joseon Dynasty as the primary residence for the

royal family. Among the five palaces in Seoul, it is the largest and most beautiful in architectural style. A short walk to Insadong, a

narrow street lined with antique stores and modern art galleries where visitors can wander and browse at leisure.

3. Seoul Panoramic View Tour : Tour desk- Namsangol Hanok Villlage - Seoul Tower

A traditional Korean-style garden, complete with a flowing stream and a pavilion in the woods, was constructed in order

to revive the classicalfeel of the ancient times. Five traditional Korean houses were moved here on a 7,934 square-

meters lot including some of the residences of high government officials who were known to have eight of the largest

mansions in Seoul. Some houses of commoners are also here in Namsangol Hanok Village. When you go up to the

Seoul Tower, there is a marvelous spot for both the day & night panorama of Seoul city from the observatory which is

about 480m above sea level in down town

4. Jeju-do(Island)(2days 1 night)

Jejudo Island is a volcano in rest located one hour flight south-west of Seoul with

its population of 500,000 people. As the renowned tourist site both at home and

abroad, this island is blessed with a mild marine climate and unique geo-

graphical features of volcano. With the unique cultures of wind, rocks and women,

this amazing island maintains untouched appearances by civilization as in caves,

waterfalls, craters, valleys and coastlines. The island receives electricity from the

land through two circuits of 150 Km under-sea DC cables. This tour includes a

technical visit to the receiving station with DC/ACconverting facilities. For further information, please visit the website at

http://cyber.jeju.go.kr/source/is/eng/ISENMA00.asp

5. Legendary Gyeongju (2 days 1 night)

Gyeongju was the center of a golden time of ancient Shilla Kindom ( 57 B.C. ~

A.D. 935 ) in Korea. As one of 10 World Historic Cities designated by UNESCO, it

has many old royal tombs, pagodas, historic buildings, statues, and temples

which shows the great glories of the ancient Korean people. This GyeongjuCity

itself has been called "A Museum Without Walls". Among treasures to be found

there Seokguram Grotto Buddha and Bulguksa Temple are considered as the

mostattractive historical site for visitors in Gyeongju, since they reveal the

philosophy of Buddhism and the beauty of Buddhist Temples in Korea. For further information, please visit the website

at http://www.gbtour.net

6. Seoraksan (2 days 1 night)

Mt. Seoraksan, which means the Snow Peak of the Mountain, is known as a

magnificent national park for its granite peaks, lush green valleys, dense forest,

mysterious temples, majestic waterfalls and crystal-clear streams. After being

designated as Natural Monument No. 171 in November 1965, Mt. Soraksan

became the fifth national park in March 1970. It was selected as a conservation

area, the only one in Korea, by UNESCO in 1982, because of its variety of plants

and animals. For further information, please contact my e-mail

[email protected].

7. Deajeon (one day)

The Daejeon City Tour program has been developed to allow people to see the

major features of the city in a convenient and enjoyable way.

This is a guided tour for families, friends and various different groups.

Foreign language services are available for foreign visitors and tour courses are

well organized including research institutes and traditional heritages, acting as an

educational tour for students and adults

8. Yuseong (Half day)

This is the traditional place where human culture has inhabited since pre-history. It was

the ruling place of 'Nosaji -hyun(district)', Usul-gun, in Baekjae period. Since the name was

changed in the 16th year of Gyungduck King, it has been called Yousung. According to a

scholar, after Baekjae Dynasty was perished by Silla, scholars or subjects of Baekjae lived

at this castle. So Yousung has been called since that. Or a scholar insisted that Yousung

was enclosed by 6 castles(Yukseong), and changed into Yuseong.(in pronunciation) Local

people used to say first, "Yousung, second, Gyeongcheon, the third, Yiin. It means

Yousung is the best place to live in. The history of Yousung can be found at "Goryeo

History", "The Record of King Sejong", and "Donggukyeojiseungram ". Especially, at

"Donggukyeojiseungram" it is said that the king Taejo and Taejong of Joseun Dynasty has

been here and bathed. We can certify that this hot spa had a relation with kings family. In

1915, a man named Kim kap-sun built hot spa resort at the place of the present Yousung

Hotel. Since then, Yousung hot spa has begun to be developed. We make sacrifices to

ancestors with this hot spa water in October every year. The hot spa brings water from

350m underground(56 c). It contains the large amounts of radium, which magnifies the

effect of hot spa. This hot spa water is known as a folk remedy for the effect for neuralgia,

rheumatism, a gastro-enteric disorder, diabetics, and skin, and postpartum care. And also,

to academic circles, it is known for the best radium natural water in quality in the East.
