TN Academic Vocabulary + a little TECH = Good Stuff
Anna Clifford, Ed.D.Union University
June 6, 2012
AbstractMost say there is no single best way to teach terms and phrases. However, the research and theory on vocabulary development does point to a few generalizations that provide strong guidance. The Tennessee Department of Education Division of Teaching and Learning recommends six steps in teaching each of the TN Academic Vocabulary terms or concept. Participants will focus on teaching strategies, based upon the recommended six steps, utilizing original pictures and user-friendly tech tools. Examples created by preservice teachers will be shared.
