Plexim's office in Cambridge, Massachusetts, has the following open position: Applications Engineer Job Description: The Applications Engineer (AE) interfaces closely with Plexim’s current and prospective customers by providing product training and technical support. The AE develops application notes, white papers, online training modules and workshop presentations for Plexim's PLECS power electronics simulation tool. The AE also assists with customer visits by developing custom demo models and delivering technical product overviews. Additionally, the AE interacts closely with Plexim’s R&D staff to help review and test new product features. This position requires up to 30% travel, possibly including international. Responsibilities: Providing customer technical support in person, by phone, web conference and email Developing advanced simulation models for power electronics applications Developing training modules, application notes and online tutorials Delivering off-site technical workshops and seminars Assisting with pre-sales and product evaluation activities Participating in customer visits, trade shows and conferences Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Mechatronics Solid understanding of power electronics and/or embedded controls strongly preferred Prior PLECS or MATLAB/Simulink experience is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required Passion for learning and solving technical challenges is crucial Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent presentation skills Must be independent and enjoy traveling Excellent written and verbal communications skills required Must enjoy working in a team environment Entry level or recent graduates please apply If you love power electronics and enjoy learning about the latest innovations in various industries while assisting experts in the field, we want to hear from you.
