Oasys marked several key milestones in 2013, including closing its Series B financing from strategic investors and announcing part-nerships in both the water market in China and in the global oil and gas produced water sector.
On the intellectual property front it filed more than 45 patent applications worldwide on
core aspects of its FO platform, for a total of 184 pending applications. In addition, the company had eight patents issued in 2013, for a total of 22 patents issued globally.
The company also grew its team by more than 50% with new talent added across sales, market-ing, engineering, research and manufacturing.
Oasys has doubled its office space in Boston and expanded its research and development space enabling it to increase its capabilities to test challenging water, develop new membrane chemistries and processes, and test larger-
scale system configurations. In addition to its offices in Boston, it also operates a facility in Somerset, Massachusetts, which is used to demonstrate its FO systems, and has com-mercial operations in Beijing, China and the Southwestern USA.

AEA completes Siemens acquisition and renames company Evoqua Water Technologies
After securing regulatory approvals, AEA Investors Lp has completed its
acquisition of the municipal, industrial and services water and wastewater treatment operations and assets of Siemens Water Technologies Llc. The new company has been named Evoqua Water Technologies Llc.
AEA announced its purchase of Siemens Water Technologies from Siemens Ag for €640 million during the fourth quarter of 2013 (Membrane Technology December 2013, page 1)
Under AEA, Evoqua will continue to offer municipal and industrial water and wastewater
treatment equipment and services. The existing management, under the leadership of CEO Dr Lukas Loeffler, also remains in place.
