AE Excellence Program

• AEX• Hands-on interactive activities designed to

support teaching AE & STEM• 6 activities & 2-hour AE day• At completion, cadet certificates, unit plaque• Participation and award program• Registration – Oct 1 – Sep 30 each year• Register in eservices; select “apply for AEX”

AE Excellence Program

• AEX Test Site - Proposed Changes• AEOs & AEMs may go into eservices and enter

each activity as it is completed• Once all the activities have been completed,

then submit the AEX Award Report• The AEX Report will be entered as a squadron

instead of as an AEO; therefore, if a member who first enters the report leaves, the replacement can complete the report

• We need people to visit/use the test site. Then IT can make the final changes and go live

Aerospace Connections in Education

• ACE: K-6 grade-specific lessons• 21 lesson plans

- character development, physical fitness, and academics; all revolving around AE

• 14,000 students; 330 teachers; 100 schools• Precursor to cadet programs• Organizations and CAP members promoting

ACE

STEM Kit Program

• FY13-15 received & spent $900,000 to promote STEM

• Developed 5 kits

-- flight simulator, remote control aircraft, robotics, rockets, & astronomy

• Filled 2400 orders• 85% cadet/composite sq placed orders• Surveys - increased career interest 71% - 83% • Number cadet/student reached – 133,000• Cost per cadet/student - $7.00
