Minimal invasive Paediatric Surgery

Minimal invasive techniques have revolutionised our paediatric world. Nowadays, almost all laparoscopic and thoracoscopic surgeries on newborns and children can beperformed minimally invasively. These techniques are considered as standard for patients of all ages, for minor and major surgery, and for a multiplicity of indicationsfrom dysplasia to malignant tumours. The equipment for minimal invasive surgery iswidely available in most Paediatric centres, and is used in many ways for the benefit ofour patients.

Paediatric surgery is subject to continuous development. This also applies to minimallyinvasive techniques, and the related instrumentation and equipment. These must alwaysmeet the newest technical challenges and decontamination requirements.

AdTec mini

B. Braun Aesculap has more than 100 years experience in developing surgical instru-ments. In the past, B. Braun Aesculap equipment for minimal invasive procedures tendedto focus on adult surgery. However, paediatric surgery often demands smaller diameterinstrumentation, and increasingly, there is also a requirement to provide better instru-ments with smaller diameters for adult patients. B. Braun Aesculap has recognised thisneed, and has developed a new range of instruments. This development took place incollaboration with a number of key opinion leaders from both paediatric and adult general surgery.

The new instruments have been rigorously tested and optimised. They provide the per-fect diameter for neonatal and paediatric surgery, with improved ergonomics for optimalhandling. The strength and durability of the new instruments is particularly impressive,delivering the perfect combination for the demands of today’s minimally invasive surgery. This new generation of instruments also meet the exacting requirements of today’s decontamination requirements

Minimal invasive Kinderchirurgie

Minimal invasive Techniken haben unsere kinderchirurgische Welt revolutioniert. Heutekönnen nahezu alle Eingriffe im Bauch- und Brustraum bei Neugeborenen und Kindernauf minimal invasivem Weg erfolgen. Die Techniken gelten als Standard für Patientenjeden Alters, für kleine und große Operationen und für eine Vielzahl an Indikationen vonFehlbildungen bis hin zu malignen Tumoren. Inzwischen ist das Equipment für minimalinvasive Eingriffe an den meisten kinderchirurgischen Standorten verfügbar und wirdvielfältig zum Vorteil unserer Patienten eingesetzt.

Die Kinderchirurgie unterliegt einem kontinuierlichen Entwicklungsprozess. Dies giltauch für minimal invasive Techniken und die hierfür notwendigen Instrumente undGeräte. Diese müssen immer neuen technischen Herausforderungen und hygienischenAnforderungen gerecht werden.

AdTec mini

In der Entwicklung von chirurgischem Instrumentarium hat B. Braun Aesculap eine mehrals 100-jährige Tradition. Das bisher für minimal invasive Chirurgie verfügbare Equipmentvon B. Braun Aesculap war auf die routinemäßige Anwendung an Erwachsenen fokussiert.Aufgrund der speziellen Anforderungen in der Kinderchirurgie und der Notwendigkeit,auch für Erwachsene Patienten verbesserte Instrumente mit kleinen Durchmessern zurVerfügung zu stellen, wurde ein neues Instrumentarium entwickelt. Dies erfolgte in einemgemeinsamen Prozess mit ausgewählten Kinder- und Viszeralchirurgen.

Die neuen Instrumente wurden vielfach geprüft und optimiert. Sie weisen einen idealenDurchmesser für Operationen an Neugeborenen und Kindern auf. Besonders beeindruckendsind die optimalen Größenverhältnisse, das bequeme und sichere Handling und die großeBelast- und Haltbarkeit. Die Instrumente werden zudem allen aktuellen Hygienean-forderungen gerecht.

Ich freue mich über das neue Instrumentarium, das unseren höchsten kinderchirurgischenAnsprüchen genügen soll und zur Anwendung an unseren kleinen Patienten bereitsteht.

Assemble shaftRotate the push rod 90° clockwise until it locks intoplace. The groove is then be in line with the notch.

Assemble shaftSlide the black outer tube as far as it will go overthe jaw insert..

Prepare handle Deacitvate the ratchet by flipping down the red toggle switch.N.B.: for PO381R only

Function testTest the assembly of the instrument by opening andclosing the handle to ensure the jaw is openinig andclosing.

Assemble shaftSlide the push rod into the jaw insert as far as it willgo making sure that the labelling on the push rod isin line with the notch of the jaw part.

Connect shaft and handleHold the tip of the shaft and the rotation knob of thehandle firmly. Slide the shaft into the handle until itlocks into place, making sure that the pressure barnotch is in line with the mark on the rotating knob. Important: Do not touch the movable part of thehandle.

Vorbereitung Handgriff Sperre deaktivieren indem der rote Kippschalternach vorne umgelegt wird. Beachte: Betrifft nur PO381R.

FunktionstestDen Griff öffnen und schließen, dabei überprüfen ob sich die Maulteile öffnen und schließen.

Instrument zusammensetzenSchaft an Spitze und Griff am Drehstern festhalten.Schaft in den Griff einschieben bis er einrastet,dabei muß die Einkerbung der Druckstange in einer Linie zur Markierung auf dem Drehstern stehen. Wichtig: Das bewegliche Griffteil nicht berühren.
