For 60 years Aetrex has been considered a leading sponsor & provider of pedorthic education. We are now pleased to announce that in partnership with NCPA, Aetrex is offering a comprehensive 2-part educational program to help qualify participants become an ABC Certified Fitter of Therapeutic shoes.

According to ABC (the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics), “an ABC certified fitter of therapeutic shoes is an individual trained and qualified in the provision of non-custom therapeutic shoes and non-custom diabetic multi-density inserts. A certified fitter of therapeutic shoes is competent to practice within the scope of non-custom therapeutic footwear only.”

The Aetrex/NCPA Shoe Fitter program will fulfill the educational requirements needed to become certified. In addition, individuals must have 500 hours of patient contact which includes the fitting of therapeutic shoes.
