Re: Salary Proposal

Dear Ms. Thompson:

Partnership for a Healthy Harrison County is recommending an increase in the salary of$34.000.00 for its director. Jimmy D. Jolmson. We make this proposal on the merits of Mr.Johnson's education, experience. and_d~dication to his commitment to the health and safety ofthe children of our county,

Even though Mr. Johnson does not have a Master Degree, but does have ten hours toward such, his knowledge, skills, training, along with his past experience qualifies him for such an increasein his salary. As indicated in Mr. Johnson's resume, he has served the people of HarrisonCounty as a member of the Sheriffs Department for twenty-six years and ten of those years. hewas in a supervisory position as Chief of Criminal Investigations.

Mr. Johnson has a B.S. Degree in Physical Education. Health and Recreation from MobileCollege in Mobile. Alabama, He is a graduate of the Mississippi Law Enforcement TrainingAcademy in-' Pearl. :viS and a graduate of tbe National Academy of the Federal Bureau ofInvestigations. In Mr. Johnson's law enforcement career he has attended numerous schools, seminars. and programs dealing with safety, community policing/public relations, and drugidentification. education. awareness. and prevention.
