Stage 1Goals
This design will address the vocabulary and introduction of wedding celebration ,celebrated in Afghan culture.
Standards for education, 1.1- 1.2- 1.3- 2.1 and 4.2.
Functional ObjectiveBy the end of lesson students will
be able to identify the names of different ceremonies and the customs followed in Afghan wedding, they will be able to use the learned vocabulary, and will invite their friends (via phone) to the wedding.
Stage 2Activity 1 & 2: Students will be presented
with pictures, and each student will be given a card to draw the event of wedding which they have participated.
Activity 3: Work with class fellow and know from each other their traditions and customs of "how they celebrate" wedding in their society.
(Group Discussion) How do you celebrate wedding in your culture?
(Practice) How do you invite people in a wedding ceremony?

and practice the matching game, and will use the cards to match different ceremonies with correct vocabulary.
