Founded in 2005 by Mamadou T. Sow, Afrimarine is engaged in several segments of maritime activities.

Mamadou T. Sow was intimately involved in the formation andrunning of Guinean State-Owned firms such as the “ EntrepriseNationale de Transport Routier, d'Acconage et de Transit”(ENTRAT), Société Navale Guinéene (SNG), Office Guinéenpour le Transport Maritime (OGTM), Société Guineo-Norvégienne de Transport Maritime (GUINOMAR) - a shippingjoint venture between the Government of Guinea and TheTorvald Klaveness Group of Oslo, Norway - and BAUMARINE, aPanamax Pool operated by the Torvald Klaveness Group.

From late 2005 to 2010, Afrimarine concentrated its activities solely on Boke bauxite operations, where it quickly established itself as the trusted partner to Guinea’s prime bauxite seller (CBG), and Bokebauxite buyers (Alcoa, Rio Tinto and Dadco).

Our Kamsar Office, services over85% of all vessels loading at theCBG Loading Facilities, asprotective ship agents, offeringany/all kinds of expert marineinspections, quality and quantitypetro-oil marine surveys.


2005 2010

HISTORY : TIMELINE

In 2008, Afrimarine ventured intoneighboring Sierra Leone torevive (after the infamous civilwar) and manage the ShebroRiver Fleet of push-boats andbarges for the account of SierraMineral Holding. First wegradually upgraded locally at

Nitty, all river units at an absoluteminimal cost and subsequentlywe organized the bauxite trans-shipment from Nitty to Buoy # 4.This was sophisticated riverlogistics operation which lastedfor over a 21-month period.


2008 2010

Late 2011, Afrimarine opened itsSierra Leonean branch andconcluded an exclusive contractwith Sea Corporation Pty Ltd ofAustralia covering all marinesurveys to be performed on alliron ore handies, panamaxesand cape size vessels loading inSierra Leone for the account ofAfrican Mineral Ltd (AML).


2011 2013

In 2012, we decided to reinforceour Conakry operations andquite rapidly began expandingour activities in ship agency(general cargo, RORO vessels),marine inspections, marketintelligence and projectdevelopment, cargo forwarding,customs clearance, road andmarine logistics.

In the same year, in cooperation with other Associates, we were amongst thefirst to establish a truly African ship and cargo chartering and managementfirm (Globe Chartering), based in Casablanca, Morocco.

Globe Chartering focuses in chartering in and out of African cargoes andvessels. Already today, Globe Chartering has fixed several vessels that arerunning under Contracts of affreightment (CoAs) at the East Atlantic basin.

TRANSSHIPMENT OF PERSONNEL AND EQUIPMENT FROM AIRPORT TO VESSEL

Afrimarine regularly assists clients in transshipping marine personnel, crew, ship spare parts, equipment, teams of armed sea guards and their weapons, TO and FROM airport and ship. Ship is generally stationed at Conakry anchorage station, and transshipment is made by launch boat.
