Action for Sustainable LivingTraining for environmental awareness and action

Action for Sustainable Living (AfSL) is a multi award-winning organisation providing training tobusinesses, communities and individuals for the last ten years. We offer a range of workshops and

programmes to facilitate positive environmental change. Our experienced Training Coordinators usea tailored approach to ensure each session is focused on your desired outcomes, and relevant toyour specific needs.

    How can AfSL help you?

Cost savingsWith a culture of energy saving at the heart of your organisation, you can save significantly onoverhead costs. We will help you to identify areas where both energy and money can be saved, and through training, ensure that changes are long lasting.

Success story: Our work with Southway Housing Trust has to date saved 27,000 per annum throughraising awareness of simple energy saving techniques.

Environmental strategies and targetsA lot of businesses and organisations have a sustainability policy in place, but there is often adisconnection between the vision laid out and the day-to-day work carried out on the ground. We can bridge this gap by engaging your employees or service users with your sustainability targetsthrough bespoke training sessions, making sustainability relevant to your organisation andthe people within it.

Success story: Carillion Plc. used our services during their annual Sustainability Week to get staff on boardwith their large scale environmental strategy. Through implementing personal energy saving pledgesemployees were able to translate Carillions ambitious green targets into their own daily routines.

Corporate social responsibilityA positive corporate identity is something money cant buy. If you are dedicated to operating in aresponsible way, we can help you to engage your employees and your community in activities thatfocus on providing a better place to live, work and study, which will in turn help your organisationstand out from the crowd.

Success story: We worked with staff at Rusholme JobcentrePlus to promote environmental volunteeringopportunities to improve the skills of 160 jobseekers, 16 of whom went onto find work. This had a positiveimpact in the community through increased employability, and raised local awareness of the communitywork that JobcentrePlus supports.
