After the atmospheric entry there are two options: dissolve or collide.
SYNOPSIS
Producing the first EP, the project takes advantage of electronic environments and acoustic sounds, sometimes even erudite, in order to invite us to a journey painted by conceptual analogies.
Throughout 7 acts, 7 themes, mostly of them cinematographic, they tell the story of a meteor stuck in the momentum that no longer recognizes himself. The orbit made him forgot his origin, as well as his fate, leaving him in a galactic void.
The Story and History of the EP - Dissolve or Collide? - from Riding to Meteor, begins when something changes the trajectory of this celestial body and shows him a new World.
Two hypotheses remain. Both will cause damage.
THE HISTORY OF THE PROJECT
Riding the Meteor was born from the passion of Luís Caracinha to tell stories through music. Not reviewing his style fully in electronic environments or acoustic sounds, he created a project where they are blended. RAM acounts also with the attentive view of the photographer Mónica Brazuna and follow the words of the thinker Rui Guerreiro. Rui gave voice to “the conscience” of the story’s character as lyricist and his theoretical knowledge about the Universe approached art of science. Monica Brazuna, guided by her addiction of photography, gave a picture to the idea. Together, they created a 70 minutes journey that can now be performed on any stage.
MEMBERS
On stage may be up to 8 musicians from different geographies and musical styles. They are responsible for creating a set of contrasts, promising to make the sensorial experience of their show unforgettable. In order to make the project more flexible, the band can performe in showcases with 1, 2 or 3 musicians.
António Barradinhas, Bárbara Santos, Davis Sousa, Gabriel Costa, Helena Madeira, Ivo Ferreira, Luís Caracinha e Ruben Azevedo are some of the artists that take part on this performance.
Nothing in the universe is stopped and “On Tour” was born Riding the Meteor.
DISSOLVE OR COLLIDE TOUR
RAM was born on an experimental tour named “Dissolve Or Collide”. The Festival F was the cradle of this meteor which, during the year 2017 and early 2018, was growing and traveling through various venues oaccross Portugal. Harmonia Éborense, Beja Cultural House, 7 Arte Café, The Boomerang Bar, Pizza Night, Taberna Benvinda and Teatro das Figuras were some of the places this Meteor crossed through during their first tour.
AURA TOUR
The second RAM tour started in May 2018 in Punta Umbría (Spain), the first international concert of the project. Teatro del Mar, “The Artists”, MED Festival, Bafo de Baco, Boom Festival, Cais Comercial and Club Farense were some of the venues they performed between May and November.After this tour the band took 2 monthes out of stages to finished new compositions and produce in the studio.

Riding the Meteor presents a show where music, lights and cinematic concepts are harnessed, creating unique environments. On stage, they star with the main band pushing us with the power of gravity. Then, the closer they are to crush, the bigger is the number of musicians, enlarging the tension of this story.
