IQPC Exchange: Hello and welcome to this IQPC podcast in conjunction with the Corporate Council and Compliance Exchange. Today, I’m joined by Nina Kiviranta, head of Corporate Legal and Chief Compliance Officer at Nokia Siemens Networks. I’m your host, Helen Winsor, and today Nina is going to give a bit of a snapshot of her responsibilities within the sector as a preview of her presentation at our event. So, Nina, welcome to the show, how are you today? N Kiviranta: Thank you, I’m fine. IQPC Exchange: Great of you to join us. So, to start, I guess, could you please tell us a little bit about your role, in terms of your responsibilities, geographical remits, reporting lines, etc, and could you outline both the legal and compliance responsibilities briefly please? N Kiviranta: Yes, I have a double heading responsibilities; I have a team of corporate lawyers including corporate, labour, finance, data protection - that is the so-called expert team and NSN, as a global company, it has a lot of lawyers also spread around the regions, but we have certain functions that we hold as a general, one of them is corporate, legal and our expert team will always go and help the others when there is such an issue that they need professional expertise. In addition to that I’m also the Chief Compliance Officer NSN which is also divided in a way that, in all major regions we divide the work to those regions, each region has their own compliance counsel and in regions we also have a regional compliance committees which take care of the cases which are at regional level. However, if there are bigger cases or cases that involve management or other people who are higher in hierarchy, then the cases come to the Global Compliance Committee which is the, let’s say the highest deciding body in NSN, and all the executive board members are members on the Global Compliance Committee. We have a meeting at least once [?] in a quarter and, if needed, more.
