EDITING AN ASSESSMENT Once you log back in, click on the

assessments tab and you should see the assessment we created in the morning session.

On the right side of the page there is an edit button in the same row as the assessment.

Click on the edit button.

EDITING AN ASSESSMENT When you click edit, the assessment

properties will pop up. These are the properties you specified in the prompts when creating the assessment.

Unless you made a mistake when creating the assessment, there is no need to change any of these.

EDITING AN ASSESSMENT Across the top is a list of links that will allow

you to edit different parts of the assessment.

Sharing If you would like another member of your

school to be able to access and change the properties on your assessment you can specify a person to share you assessment with.

You would do this by clicking on “Add sharing” and specifying the person you would like to share with.

EDITING AN ASSESSMENTWeights The weight of the questions is

automatically evenly distributed. If you want to change a question so that it is weighted more than others, you can click the weights link and each question will be listed with a point value that you can change.

Make sure to click Save before leaving the page.

EDITING AN ASSESSMENTSections If you were keeping one scantron to

track the achievement of the entire semester’s worth of work, you can still specify the sections as each different test

Page 7: Afternoon Session Part 1

EDITING AN ASSESSMENTSections For example: For my

college algebra readiness students, I didn’t want to get a new scantron for each 10-15 question multiple choice portion of my tests, so I split the assessment into the four major tests of the semester: Statistics Probability Geometry Part 1 Geometry Part 2

EDITING AN ASSESSMENTSections To create a section, click add on the left

side. On the right, name your new section with

the title or chapter number. You do not need to change anything else at the top.

Mark individually the questions for that assessment or specify the beginning and ending question and press apply.

Make sure to click Save before leaving the page.

EDITING AN ASSESSMENTDuplication You can make a duplicate of the

assessment if necessary by entering a new name and clicking save.

EDITING AN ASSESSMENTAnswer Key/Layout This is where you will but your answers. You can do this one of two ways:

Enter the answer to each question manually.

Fill in a scantron as the answer key and press “Scan Answer Key” at the bottom on the left side. This will bring up the scanner option like

scanning assessment documents from your students. You will scan it through the machine and it will input your answers into the form.

EDITING AN ASSESSMENTVersions If you are creating an assessment that has multiple

versions, then you can specify those versions with the versions tab.

It allows you to change the answer for each question and save as each version of your assessment.

EDITING AN ASSESSMENT View Setup, Status, Forms, Scan, Input,

and Reports are administrative buttons that do not need to be specified in your assessment.

Page 13: Afternoon Session Part 1

EDITING AN ASSESSMENTStandards Standards can be aligned and assigned

to each question on your assessment to track the achievement and skill level of each one of your students.

We will go over how to align assessments in the next section.
