Co-sponsored with SSSA Division: Soil Physics and Hydrology

This event was more than just turf and included industry professionals

o Global Ag Company Consolidation: Driving Forces, Legal Challenges, and Real Life Merger Examples

Organizers were Jamie Breuninger (Dow AgroSciences) and Josh Friell (Toro Company)

Communication to society members on the driving forces in company consolidations

Who has to approve a global company merger

Discussed the in’s and out’s with the positive and negative attributes for agriculture

Congressional visit to DC: Students can visit and Daniel O’Brien from University of Arkansas participated last year

Communication of science to public: Encourage to distribute articles through media via blog or media relations to the general public. Later comment from Dr. Mike Richardson about sending information to CSSA on elementary level reading based on research activities for dissemination.
