1. Geological and geophysical services
Geological and Geophysical operations are carried out by:
-«Tat-Arka» LLP
-«Kazmorgeophysic» JSC
- «Kazmorgeophysic» JSC has 50% of shares in Veritas Caspian JV
“Tat-Arka” LLP
Service geophysical surveying company
About the company
The Company “Tat-Arka” has been established in 2001 in the Republic ofKazakhstan and actively operates in the sphere of service geophysicalservices rendering in Oil and Gas branch, carrying out 2D and 3D onshoreseismic works.
The company has 2 field seismic prospecting crew, 7500channels of ground equipment and 10 AHV-IV vibroseis sources.
Seismic station
Our seismic crews are completed with seismic stations Sercel-408UL (France). The seismic station
includes the floor equipment and the computerized operator‟s position.
Sercel 408UL is a standard system of seismic data gathering in the branch at works on the earth
and shoal. It is known as most energy saving system in the market. It has following advantages:
- Advanced floor equipment;
- Flexible telemetry;
- Effective software.
Floor equipment
Floor equipment includes:
- Groups of geophones JF-20DX
- Link
- LAUL
- LAUX
- Power cable
- Incross connection cable
Excitation sourceUsing of non-explosive sources of elastic vibrations at seismic prospecting works
allows to reduce time and material costs of works, and accordingly to reduce a cost ofexploration works.
Now seismic crews are equipped with AHV-IV shakers (Company Input/Output, USA). As a rule,
a group of 4 vibroseis sources with one vibrator as a reserve is used.
Vibroseis sources are equipped with a synchronization and quality control systemof Pelton company, that allows to control of each impact and emulate various types ofreference signals.
The system of positioning control DGPS allows to monitor movements of vibratorsat active distribution and reduces a number of defective points of excitation.
Specifications of shakers AHV-IV:
- Weight 28 tons
- Ground maximum load 30 tons
- Transport Base Buggy
- Synchronization system Pelton Vib Pro
- Sweep signal frequency 5-250 Гц.

«Kazmorgeophysica» JSC
Service geophysical surveying
company
About company
“Kazmorgeophysica“ JSC has been created in 2002. The company is a resident of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The head office of “Kazmorgeophusic” is located in Almaty city.
The company is engaged in carrying out of seismic geophysical activity within offshore, onshore as well as transit zones.
For all time of existence the company has repeatedly participated in various geophysical projects within the Republic of Kazakhstan territory.
With the advent of interest to deposits of hydrocarbonic raw materials, located in water areas and within Caspian shelf, we have started to actively implement new seismoprospecting technologies, allowing to register data, both on a sea-bottom and in a coastal zone.
Today “Kazmorgeophysica” JSC is the unique user of radio temetry system BOX (manufacturer -American company FAIRFELD) in Kazakhstan.
The system allows to carry out works in depth of 80m, as well as onshore and in transit zones.
Besides of seismic works our company carries out works on technology of direct explorations of oil and gas.
Since 2003 “Kazmorgeophisica” JSC and its Russian partner “Anchar” STC promote a new micro seismic technology ANCHAR (acoustic low frequently surveying) on the Kazakhstan market.
The technology, which is widely developed in Russia, the USA, Morocco and other foreign countries, now become accessible for Kazakhstan subsoil users as well.
Recently more than 10 deposits have been discovered under the ANCHAR technology.
Services
«Kazmorgeophysic» renders the following complex of services within the Republic of Kazakhstan:
• Seismic works 2D and 3D on sea, shoal, transit zones as well as ashore
• Electric explorations by the method DNME
• Geochemical surveys
