GeneralIntroductionThankyouforyourinterestinEnglishasaSecondLanguageInternational(ESLI).Wearepleasedthatyouarecommittedtoprovidingyourclientswiththehigheststandardofsupport,andouraimistogiveyoutheinformationandsupportyouneedtoethicallyandresponsiblypromoteourprogramstoyourstudents.ESLIadherestotheStatementofEthicsforInternationalEducatorsasdescribedintheNAFSACodeofEthics,andouraimistoworkwithagents/consultantsandclientswhoshareourview.ESLIhasbeenhelpinginternationalstudentsachievetheirdreamofuniversitysuccessinNorthAmericaforover25years.WeareanacademicEnglishprogram,andstudentsonapathwaytouniversitystudiesarewellsuitedtoourprogram,althoughwedoacceptstudentsonlyneedingEnglishinstruction. 6. Toconsistentlyvisitagentsandworkdirectlywiththemintheirpromotionalactivities,whichmayincludeagenttrainingvisits,seminars,fairs,andfamiliarizationcampusvisits.

7. Todevelopandupdateourpromotionalactivitiesandtheavailabilityofinformationtoreflectchangingmarketingtrends,includingdigitaluploads,socialmedia,andvideosharing.

8. Toprovideconsistentfeedbackwhenissuesandconcernsarisefromourschoolsand/ordirectlyfromstudentsregardingagencyactivitiesandservices.MoreseriousissuesinvolvingmisinformationorunethicalpracticeswillincludeawrittenreportfromESLIrequiringanofficialresponsefromtheagency.

9. Toselectivelysupportthemarketinginitiativesofouragentsandtoresponsiblyremunerateagentsforsuccessfulstudentrecruits.

AdministrativeSupportandMarketingESLIunderstandsthatanagentcannotsuccessfullyprovideaccurateandup-to-dateinformationunlesstheagentreceivestheneededsupport.Webelievethateffectiveagentsupportrequires:

Section5:StructureandCurriculumOverviewAllclassesaredesignedtomeettheuniqueneedsofsecondlanguagelearnerswhowillenteraNorthAmericaninstitutionofhighereducation.StudentswhosuccessfullycompletetheESLIprogramwillnotberequiredtocompleteanIELTSorTOEFL.ESLIhasdevelopedacomprehensivecurriculumtoensurethatstudentswillfindsuccessintheiruniversitydegreeprogramsaftercompletingtheESLIprogram.Ourgraduatedsystemallowsstudentstobeevaluatedandplacedinalevelthatwillmeettheirneedsandchallengethemtoprogress.ESLIoffersautomaticPre-PlacementforstudentsthathavealreadycompletedanIELTSorTOEFLexam,buthavenotmetuniversityrequirements.SpecificinformationaboutPre-PlacementopportunitiescanbefoundinESLI’sAdmissionHandbook.ForstudentsthathavenottakenanIELTSorTOEFLexam,theESLIPlacementExamwillbeavailable.ThisexamwillbeadministeredduringOrientationWeek,generallythefirstweekofeachnewterm,andstudentswillbeplacedintheappropriateESLIlevelaccordingly.ESLIoffersfivelevelsofEnglishstudytointernationalstudents.Thefirsttwolevels,BasicandPreparatory,offerBasicEnglishtraining.ThefinalthreelevelsfocusmoreonacademicEnglish.WhenstudentscompletethePre-Universitylevel,theywillbeeligibleforfulladmissiontotheuniversity.ESLIUSA
