WELCOME

Welcome to the first edition of AgniQuarterly. We hope you love reading it as much as we loved creating it. The work that has gone into designing this online magazine is nothing short of tremendous and of which we are extremely pleased. Our intention was to find a way that we could share the interesting findings we stumble across with readers near and far. This edition introduces some of what we do and shares with you some of the meth-ods that we personally use to keep connected and remain conscious. Blessing to you as you follow your bliss. May this quarter bring you much happiness.

In appreciation,

The A Team Agnitraya

Early life experiences shape who we are and how we see the world. Out of this normal process, beliefs begin to form. Depending on the nature of the experience, the beliefs we form can be affirming or depleting to our inner being. Several factors affect whether these early experiences were positive or negative. For example, our individual personalities, the type of environment we were raised in, the manner in which we were cared for, and even our caretakers’s belief system help to shape the way in which we perceive the world and everything in it.

Often when we experience more emo-tion than seems appropriate for the situation we are currently in, it is because we’re trig-gered old emotions tied to the old beliefs. The first step in healing these old wounds is to identify the beliefs that accompany them. Next we must go within ourselves and ques-tion whether or not these beliefs still work for us. Perhaps they were never true for us in the first place.

Through meditation, we can revisit the old experience and change or alter the mem-ory. These alterations have profound and immediate healing effects that bring about change in our life today.

“These alterations have profound and immediate healing effects that bring about change in our life today.”

Page 13: AgniQuarterly Summer 2013

We add to this process Recon-nective Therapy ener-gy work, which works with high frequencies to reconnect us with the creative energy caught up in our past traumas. When this energy is returned to us there can be pro-found emotional and physical shifts to our well being.

Reconciliation and Reconnec-tive therapies are both integrative practices, similar in concept to Soul Retrieval. We have found them to be especially powerful when used together. The meditations help to ground the energetic shifts in our consciousness, allowing us to stop recreating old patterns and the en-ergy work speeds up the effects.

Reconiliation and Reconnective Therapy are available through individual and group ses-sions. For more information, visit www.agnitraya.com/RRT

OM AMI DEWA HRIH(Chant 108 times a day.)

Amitabha Buddha em-anates ruby red light, a Red that symbolises love and compassion. Amitabha’s ra-diant form warms and paci-fies the hearts of all who gaze at him. As head of the Lotus family, he manifests bound-less compassion, protect-ing and welcoming. all into His Pure land, the Western Paradise from where the at-tainment of Enlightenment is certain. Reciting Amitabha’s mantra purifies all delu-sions and removes obsta-cles caused by one’s exces-sive attachment to material things.

New Moon Fire & Drum Series Dates:

New Moon Fire & Meditation Series

History of Women and Drums

Since the 6th millennium B.C., women in spiritual ceremony have used frame drums.

Even today, shamans carry this tradition forward as they use the beat of a drum to cross the veil. We will be using a drum to lead meditation and help us see clearly inside our minds and

hearts.

Meditation, mindfulness, wisdom, and women

The New Moon and the dark of the Moon can be a powerful time in which to listen to our deepest longings, become clear about our intentions and true desires, and to listen deeply to our higher selves. We are inviting you to work intentionally during this time combining Agnitraya meditations, mindfulness wisdom, and the power of women gathering around a fire.

We will gather on the closest Saturday to the New Moon at 7 p.m. and work until 8:30 p.m. Please feel free to come a little earlier or stay a little later to talk with the other women. We plan to gather around a fire outside, though if weather makes it impossible we have indoor options. The fee of $15, $7 for full time students, can be paid the night of the New Moon Fire. Since we are meeting at a private residence we will email you directions once we know you are planning on attending.

A beginning…

Moon Cycles and Manifestation New Moon: Time to go within and reflect, time for visioning

Between the New Moon and Full Moon: Time of receiving and giving thanks.

Full Moon: The crux of the wave, everything is heightened and it is a time for gathering together and celebration and taking a good look at what we are creating in our lives. For women connected to the Moon Cycle this would be a time of ovulation. Between the Full Moon and the New Moon: This is the time to get rid of what you don't need. Prime time for taking out the recycling and giving away the clothes you don't need to good will. Also a good time to identify beliefs that no longer serve us. I will add that personally co-creating and living does not work in this neat and tidy process. I have new clients at all stages of the moon cycle and my spring cleaning is happening all month round, rather than waiting to the appropriate time to clear out the debris and cobwebs. And doing heart centering meditations and visiting what's real and important to me happens every day. However, becoming attune with the Moon cycle has enriched my life in so many ways. It has provided a delightful focus to think of accepting abundance on the on the way to the Full Moon, and letting go of what no longer serves me on the way to the dark of the moon. It is a reminder to me that I'm linked to longer natural cycles no matter what my life is throwing at me. It offers perspective as every person who has ever lived on earth has been a part of this cycle. As a woman it's changed my own personal cycles in a very positive way.

We began gathering around the New Moon because, to us, it seemed the natural time to go inward for reflection, balancing, and, yes, for manifestation. Acknowledging the vision you have for your future is a valuable practice whether or not you believe in the laws of attraction. Another reason for starting this series is that we've done some research on the theory behind the moon cycle and laws of manifestation and though many sources site different "rules", they all pretty much saying the same thing.

Summer is here, and for me, that always meant softball season and sun-shine! When it came to going up to bat, there was nothing better than the feel of hitting a home run. I now find myself us-ing the home run in an entirely different way.

There are four ‘bases’ to my Well-ness Home Run: 1st- Structural and phys-ical correction, 2nd- toxins and immune challenges, 3rd- Biochemistry and nutri-tion, and Home Plate- Emotions. These bases are important to recognize in all conditions, from back pain to acid reflux. When treating a patient for a specific con-dition, all of these factors have to be tak-en into account. Some areas may be of greater importance than others, but it is incredible how they are all related to one another. The fine-tuned inner workings and energy of our body are responsible for bringing us to balance, but do they have what they need to do so?

1st- Structurally, are there any blockages to healing present. Whether in the spine and nervous system, the fascia and soft tissues, scars, or in the meridians and Qi? Physical interferences to heal-ing can be removed through chiropractic care, massage, acupuncture, or rehabili-tation to achieve structural balance in the system. Interferences, many times mani-fest as pain or discomfort within our bod-ies.

2nd- Toxicities and immune chal-lenges can be a contributor to the condi-tion or a hindrance to healing. We live in a toxic soup, and everyday our systems are trying to cleanse and purify our bod-ies of the toxins that we are exposed to. It’s a lot to ask, and sometimes these tox-ins accumulate in our bodies and create disharmony. When a toxin accumulates (heavy metals, or chemicals), our bodies are not able to communicate properly. A similar effect takes place when we have a chronic food sensitivity or immune chal-lenge (virus, bacteria, fungus, parasite). We get into a pattern where our systems are fighting those so much that they can’t do what they were meant to. This is when deficiencies and weaknesses in the body will surface. There are homeopathic rem-edies, purification programs, supplemen-tation, and infrared sauna to aid in the elimination of these challenges on our body.

HIT A HOME RUNHolistic health care from the office of Dr. Kristen Lichty

Page 19: AgniQuarterly Summer 2013

3rd-Nutrition and what we are feed-ing ourselves is a big part of achieving bal-ance. Our food is our fuel that our body runs on. Unfortunately, food today is de-ficient in so many ways. From the poor quality of our soil, genetic modification, highly processed foods, preservatives, artificial ingredients, and pesticides, we are not getting the key nutrients to keep us functioning at our highest potential. You wouldn’t expect to put a poor qual-ity fuel into your car and expect it to run efficiently and get great gas mileage, and the same goes for our bodies. By utilizing Nutritional Response Technique, deficien-cies can be recognized and treated us-ing whole food supplementation or food elimination. Now the body can receive what it needs to repair the weakness.

Home Plate- Emotions are often overlooked but integral to completing our Home Run. We must recognize how emotions and stress-related factors can have an effect on our physical bodies. Emotions like fear, anger, and grief can have a negative effect long after the original even has occurred. If we bury these emotions and they remain ‘stuck’ in our bodies, pain, anxiety and organ dysfunction can occur. Different emotions correspond to different meridians and organs in the body, which greatly affect our ‘qi’ or body energy/ essence. We can easily become stuck in patterns to deal with these emotions, and ar-eas of the body will in turn suffer. Neuro Emotional Technique can be utilized to bring these suppressed emotions to light. Meditation, mindfulness, and ho-meopathic remedies are also very important tools to stay sound and in-check with the emotional component to our wellness.

Let’s hit the home run! Remove the blockages so the body can repair itself naturally.

Dr. Kristin Lichty is a Doctor of Chiropractic care and owner of Infinity Chiropractic Wellness Cen-ter in Winona, MN. Dr. Lichty believes in an holistic approach to health and wellness, incorporat-ing chiropractic, acupuncture, Nurtritional Response Testing, Active Release Technique, massage therapy, and far-infrared sauna. “It is by recognizing each patient as a whole and self-healing be-ing, that we can truly achieve a higher level of health and vitality.” Visit http://www.infinitywinona.com/ to learn more.

Last year, I spent the entire summer in Greece. The trip was part honeymoon, part backpack-ing expedition, and part WWOOFing (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms). While WWOOFing, I lived and worked on the small is-land of Paros at an artist’s retreat. Many amazing things happened during my time on the island, this is one exerpt from my journal...

All around, the ground is terraced, each level fac-ing toward the distant sea. Small ponds sit beneath shade trees. Gardens grow easily in rich soil held tight-ly in place by stone barri-cades. Herbs are growing everywhere. Follow your nose down any path and find lush plants ready for picking.

Page 21: AgniQuarterly Summer 2013

A beautiful ritual begins to develop in the morning: I set the water to boil, wander around, thank the sun, earth and sky for such a gorgeous day, gather a few sprigs of rosemary, lemon verbena, geranium leaves, and one sage leaf. Lightly rinse any dirt off and toss them into hot water. A glass coffee mug makes for a beauti-ful display. The aroma is unbelievable. I am learning to sip slowly, embraced by the moment.

In Sri Vishwanath’s book, The Secret to Getting Things Done, he brings up the interesting notion that for laws of attrac-tion to work, we must be clearer about what we think, and uncluttered our mind. One exercise he suggests that I’ve been working with the past month is upon waking in the morning, write five important sentences to hold in your thoughts all day.

When I first began this exercise, I had my sentences planned out, carefully choosing my words, considering if it would be best to begin sentences with “I AM” state-ments or if my priority should be to include thankfulness within each statement. To be clear Vishwanath only in-structs to write “important sentences” not what the sentences should be or how they should be formulated.

And as you can imagine the thinking pro-cesses to come up with the sentences was helpful all by itself. But after a cou-ple of weeks an interesting thing began to happen. Rather than waking up and then beginning an intellectual process of forming the sentences that I was go-ing to hold during the day, I would wake up with sentences on my mind.

Today I will be my true self.

I am love.

Peace is around me, peace is in me. Between the lines
