HISTORY OFTHE SCHOOL• Chief Donor Padma Shri Mohanmullji Chordia’s

vision of providing top-class quality higher education to different sections of the society irrespective of caste, creed and religion led to the establishment of Agurchand Manmull Jain College under the Sri. S.S. Jain Educational Society in 1952 in a sprawling campus close to the Meenambakkam Railway Station and the National Highway.

• To ensure that young boys and girls in and around Meenambakkam get the benefit of education, both primary and higher secondary, Padma Shri Mohanmullji Chordia’s elder son late Shri M. Parasmullji Chordia laid the foundation stone of Agurchand Manmull Jain School that came into existence in the year 2011.

• The dynamism and far-sightedness of Chief Donor’s third son Shri M. Sardarmalji Chordia saw the growth of the School from a mere 7 students in 2011 to 2500 students in 2016.

• His untiring efforts has been the single biggest cause for the development of the School from Pre.K.G. in 2011 to IX Standard in 2017.

• Today, Agurchand Manmull Jain School stands tall in the midst of schools in this part of Chennai not only in terms of its infrastructure but also in terms of the quality of education imparted by its totally committed, focused and highly efficient teaching force under the CBSE pattern.

• The dream of the founding father Padma Shri Mohanmullji Chordia, in moulding the character and career of the younger generation for building a strong and vibrant nation, has been the driving force of the School.

• A computer lab with 45 systems well-connected by Local Area Network with UPS Power Back-up is in full operation.

• There is a centralized, state-of-the-art, air-conditioned, spacious, well-stacked library for the benefit of the studious children.

OTHERFACILITIES• Regular medical check-ups are being arranged for all

students by qualified doctors.• Safety of children is top-most priority of the

Institution. The security and house-keeping personnel take care of the welfare of students.

• Regular parent-teacher meetings not only enable improvements in the academic performance of the wards, but also improvements in the ability of the administration to fulfil the expectations and aspirations of the parents.

• The School ensures hygienic conditions in the restrooms for the welfare of children.

• Slow-learners and dyslexia-affected students are given special coaching by experienced teachers on the basis of recommendation of qualified doctor and the willingness of the parents.

• Parents are welcome to offer suggestions by dropping a letter in the Suggestion/Complaint Box kept at the School Entrance. These suggestions will be directly handled by the Management.

ADMISSIONPROCEDUREHow to obtain application form• Eligibility:

For Pre-KG admission, the child should have been born on or before 31 March 2015 and for LKG admission, on or before 31 March 2014.

• In person: (a) FromSchoolOffice,inthethirdweekofJanuary

of every year between 9.00 a.m and 4.00 p.m. on all working days on payment of Rs.250 by cash.

(b)Applicationformcanalsobeobtainedinpersonfrom the College Management Office in the third week of January between 10 a.m. and 5.00 p.m on all working days.

• By post: Sending a Demand Draft for Rs.250 with a requisition letter addressed to Principal, A.M.Jain School,(NearA.M.JainCollege),Meenambakkam, Chennai - 600 114, along with a self-addressed

envelope(23x13cm)affixedwithRs.45postalstamp.

• Online: Log on to www.amjainschool.org.in for downloading the application form.

How to submit application form• For all classes, filled in application form with a

latestcolor(withwhitebackground)passport-sizephotograph affixed in the box provided should be submitted and registered at the School Office within a week’s time.

• Acknowledgement Card should be collected in person at the time of registration of the application form.

• In case application form is downloaded, the cost of applicationform(Rs.250)shouldberemittedatthetime of registration.

Selection & Intimation• Selection to all classes will be on the basis of merit.• If admission is offered, Annual School Fees will have

to be remitted on the date and time indicated on the Admit Card.

• Requests for extension of date of admission will not be entertained.

Mode of payment of fees• Annual School Fees and Book Fees shall be remitted

by parents through online only.• Log on to www.amjainschool.org.in to pay the fees. • Parents, who find it difficult to make online payment,

can approach School Office for guidance on online payment.

• Non-Payment of Fees on the day of admission would automatically lead to cancellation of admission and the seat will be allotted to the next eligible candidate.

Withdrawal of admission• A student, once enrolled, is expected to complete the

school studies.• No student shall withdraw from the School without

informing the Principal in writing.
