My personal goal, the driving force behind my study objectives, is to be a professional urban and Land-
scape design on both levels: national and international. This is clearly supported by my records in under-
and postgraduate studies. In my country, Egypt, . Therefore, since I graduated, I have worked on plenty of
researches, research projects and papers, individually or in a group, To support my skills, I have also
taken a variety of courses that are necessary for the development of my academic and practical career.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
Since 2009 till Now: With Dar Al-Handasah Consultants (Shair and Partners), Landscape Architecture Dept. Landscape Architect Participated in the review of landscape designs and submittals, supervision of site landscaping works and ensuring their compliance with the approved specifications, coordination of project activities with other trades, preparation of technical reports, snagging and de-snagging site works, etc., for the following projects:
- Hurghada International Airport - Construction Package 1, Egypt. Supervision of construction
for a new passenger terminal building (TB) for international and domestic flights, with an overall capacity of 7.5 million passengers/year with a total built-up area of 91,500 m². The terminal building accommodates, on 3 levels, all relevant facilities and services with direct landside and airside interfaces. It includes 9 contact gates with passenger loading bridges, 72 check-in counters in addition to the Out of Gauge (OOG) counter, 36 passport control booths for departure and arrival, 9 inbound baggage claim carrousels and 6 outbound
baggage conveyors with the appropriate baggage handling system, and a 5-level security control system. The project incorporates the latest airport-related equipment in addition to extensive soft and hard landscaping features. - DAR New Premises in Cairo, Egypt. Detailed design (according to LEED requirements) and supervision of construction (under BIM management) for a new 6-storey office building
located at the Smart Village compound with a total built-up area of 48,635 m², and including all infrastructure and landscaping works. The new building provides a total of 23,700 m² of office space with maximum flexibility to accommodate various staff categories
and respective services. A car-parking space occupies 3 basement levels, which are accessible through ramps to/from the site.
- Princess Nora Bint Abdulrahman University (PNBAU) - Supervision, Saudi Arabia. Supervision of construction for all buildings, infrastructure utilities, landscaped areas and internal road networks related to an educational complex with a total built-up area of 2.8 million m², including 8 academic colleges, 6 health sciences colleges, 2 medical research laboratories, 600-bed hospital (107,000 m²), central library, administration building, ceremonial piazza, housing units for 11,000 single students, 400 villas for senior staff housing, 1,400 apartments for junior staff housing, sports facilities, mosques and central utility plants. Works comprise site grading, soft and hard landscaping, internal roads, a flyover, an underpass, water supply and sewerage networks, external and internal fire-fighting, stormwater drainage, irrigation, chilled and hot water systems, flood protection, electrical power networks, data and IT networks and systems, security systems, street and outdoor lighting, sewage treatment plant, solid waste transfer station, electrical generation plants and substations, elevated and ground reservoirs, etc. The project comprises several LEED-certified buildings of which three LEED Gold in addition to many modern techniques for energy conservation and renewable energy. The project also comprises an 11.85 km dual-track elevated APM system, with 14 air-conditioned stations, 2 bus terminals, 3 pedestrian bridges, and a complete maintenance and storage facility. The fully automated system operates along 4 overlapping routes, with headways as short as 90 seconds, achieving full coverage for the university’s housing, academic and administrative facilities.

Participated in the landscape design, including coordination with other engineering departments, material selection, and preparation of specifications and other technical design documents, for the following projects: - The Pointe at Palm Jumeirah, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Detailed design and supervision of construction for a mixed-use complex on a total site area of 136,000 m², featuring promenades area (40,500 m²); piazzas (11,000 m²); landscaping (17,000 m²); 2 floors for retail facilities, and casual dining venues of cafés, coffee shops and specialty restaurants (38,000 m²); the “Dancing waters” computerised fountains; a new station for the monorail (1,000 m²); a wharf for visitors’ boats; indoor and outdoor terraces and arcades; parking area (40,500 m²) for 1,260 cars; and all landscaping and infrastructure utilities.
- Dubai Airports Strategic Plan 2020 (SP2020) Support Facilities - GSE/ULD Maintenance Facilities, United Arab Emirates.
- Dragon Mart Expansion, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Design and supervision of construction
for the expansion of a large trading hub for Chinese products. The expansion's site area is of
160,000 m², and its built-up area amounts to 168,000 m² for retail spaces in 2 storeys and
160,000 m² for car-parking (underground beneath the Mart in addition to a multi-storey facility
and surface parking). The expansion also comprises a 200-guestroom 3-star hotel
(14,000 m²), a central utility complex (CUC), all infrastructure and landscaping works, and a
plaza between the new and existing Marts for restaurants, cafés and promenade.
- Central Utility Plant and Tunnels for Makkah Haram, Saudi Arabia. Design and supervision of
construction for a Central Utility Complex (CUC) serving Shamiyah Haram Expansion on a site
area of 75,000 m² and accommodating a chillers plant (24 chillers with a capacity of
12,000 TR at its first phase), generators plant with a capacity of 66 MVA (first phase), gray
water treatment plant, central waste handling plant (600 tons/day), water tanks and pump
room, administration and service buildings with workshops and storage areas and
3 gatehouses. The project also comprises 2 twin-tube pedestrian tunnels, 16 m wide, 8.7 m
high and 1 km long each with a number of 11.4 m wide cross passages; a number of 70 m
long toilet tunnels connected to the pedestrian tunnels; 2 emergency tunnels, 11.4 m wide and
6.8 m high each with lengths of 7 km and 0.47 km, connected to the pedestrian tunnels; and a
16 m wide, 8.7 m high and 1,350 m long horseshoe-shaped utility tunnel (of which 320 m are
utility culverts) accommodating all pipes and electrical cables related to the garbage vacuum
system, chilled water, water supply, raw and treated gray water, fire-fighting, Zamzam water,
and tunnel drainage. Stress analysis was carried out for the chilled water supply and return
networks of 42” and 60” size as well as for the chillers plant.
- Enhancement of Airfield Capacity at Dubai International Airport, United Arab Emirates.
Expansion of Terminal 2 at Dubai International Airport, United Arab Emirates. Design, tender
documents and supervision of construction for a new facility located adjacent to the existing
Terminal and consisting of a 205 m long/90 m wide main hall housing the departure public
hall, check-in hall and related services, emigration hall, departure BHS, and airline and
management offices in addition to a 70 m long extension to the existing Terminal hosting part
of the boarding lounges. The project also comprises the refurbishment of the existing Terminal
by adding a 430 m long/68 m wide facility housing the other part of the boarding lounges and
duty free shops, arrival immigration and transfer halls, baggage claim area and related
services, arrival public hall, and arrival BHS. Total built-up area: 60,000 m².
- King Saud University for Health Sciences - Design, Saudi Arabia. Detailed design (according
to LEED requirements-5 registrations) and tender documents for one main university campus

in Riyadh, and two university branches in Jeddah and Hasa in addition to the design review
and approval of Madinah university branch. Each of the four sites comprises world class
educational, support and administrative buildings dedicated to health sciences in addition to a
total of 2,043 dwelling units consisting of villas, townhouses, apartments and suites, and all
required service, praying, infrastructure, recreational and sports facilities. Total built-up area:
1,250,000 m². Riyadh campus includes a Central Colleges Complex housing the colleges of
medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, applied medical sciences, and the deanships of higher
studies and continuing education; the Clinical Skills Development Centre; King Abdullah
Biomedical Research Centre; King Abdullah Specialty Children’s Hospital (542 beds for
paediatric and adult functions); and a main mosque for over 1,000 worshipers. Riyadh
campus’ buildings are interconnected by steel pedestrian bridges.
- King Saud University for Health Sciences - Sewage Treatment Plants, Saudi Arabia.
Hotel Apartments in Aden, Yemen. Design and supervision of construction (under BIM
management) for a 4-star hotel building on a site area of 260,000 m², comprising 150 serviced
apartments of one, two or three bedrooms distributed on the ground and five typical floors.
The project comprises all infrastructure utility networks, including water supply, irrigation,
sewerage, drainage, electricity, telecommunications, etc.
- Knowledge Economic City, Saudi Arabia. Master plan, detailed design, value engineering,
tender documents, and construction supervision for the roads and infrastructure utility
networks serving the whole project’s site area of 865 ha (projected population of 220,000 in
70,000 residential units). The new city is served by a fully-integrated, multi-modal, public
transport system, including light rail, international and national rail, and bus shuttle services.
The project comprises first class tertiary facilities for 17,000 students, a university, central
business district, incubator units for knowledge-based industries, museum, grand mosque, the
Madinah terminal of Makkah - Madinah Railway, central pedestrian plaza (4 ha), 3 km long
landscaped green corridor with a 70 m right of way, 4 km long commercial road with an 80 m
right of way, 4 ha city park, different pocket parks, streetscaping, grading, pedestrian
pavements, shade structures, pools and fountains, site lighting, outdoor furnishings and
exterior planting.
- Towers VB26, 27 and 28 at the Pearl, Qatar. Concept design, design development, final
construction documents (including the preparation of marketing materials) and supervision of
construction for two 21-storey towers (VB26 and VB27) of 53,457 m² and 54,006 m² in built-up
areas, and one 19-storey tower (VB28) of 49,734 m² in built-up area, including basements for
car-parking; a typical floor plate in the 3 towers accommodating studios (60 m²), and
one-bedroom (110 m²), two-bedroom (136 m²) and three-bedroom (160 m²) apartments;
public facilities and amenities; etc.
- Haoud El Hamra Base de Vie, Algeria. Data collection, concept and detailed designs,
construction documents and as-built drawings for a residential base on an area of 36 ha,
comprising various types of residential buildings, community facilities and services, all
infrastructure utilities, and landscaping works (grading, pedestrian pavements, shade
structures, fountains, site lighting, outdoor furnishings, athletic facilities and exterior planting).
Landscape area: 27 ha.

Cairo Festival City Residential Compound. Involved in solving site grading problems, drafting landscape drawings, and preparing site landscape designs and details for pavements, lighting, signage, irrigation, planting, spines, etc.
