EstablishedWe've been in printing since 1845, when Frederick Pawsey first opened the doors to thebusiness. Back then we were a book-seller and printer located in a local Ipswich landmark –The Ancient House.

While we're very proud of our long history, we're always looking to the future, we've come along way since Mr Pawsey's time and today our operation runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week and employs over 100 highly trained staff. It's a business that boasts an impressiveannual turnover, alongside levels of customer satisfaction that are priceless.

Web printingTwo Komori system 38S 5 unit 16 page webs5 unit heat set web offset blanket to blanket with sheeter, inline spine gluing and rotary trimming.

The presses work on a perfector basis, printing simultaneously on both sides of the web and delivering either a foldedsection or a flat sheet, and consist of 5 printing units plus folder, sheeter and rotary trimmer.

The inline spine gluing and rotary trimming units deliver spine-glued booklets, trimmed leaflets and folded broadsheetproducts as finished items, ready for despatch.

Automated plate changing, CIPLink and KHS-AI auto set-up enable fast make-ready. Twin folders produce a wide rangeof folded product options for flexible, high speed production.

Fitted with QI closed loop colour control automatic register and ribbon control.

Our high standardsAncient House Press has achieved independent recognition to the International Standard BS EN ISO9001:2008 and will seek continuous improvement through active application of the Standard. We must ensure that we meet the requirements of the Standard at all times.

We proof and print to ISO 12647-2 Standard with closed loop colour controls on all presses and stand alone colour monitoring software. All staff connected to colour control have hadextensive training.

All employees are trained on an on-going basis to ensure their competence to carry out theirduties to the highest standards, giving Management confidence in Quality Management andCustomer Satisfaction.

The highest levels of Customer Service will be our goal, which we will achieve through acustomer orientated attitude in the way the Company is run and in our plans for futuredevelopment. We will regularly review the quality objectives set out in ISO9001:2008,as documented in our Quality Manual, to ensure that we continue to meet these objectives as our business develops and changes over time.
