It gives me great joy to write a few lines to you. The secretary at the Diocesan Center is so kind to me that she takes a picture of Christmas Cards that I get and then emails them to me. The other day I open the email and was delighted to find a two Christmas cards from youwith all of your signatures, smily faces and words of encouragement. I thanked the Lord for each of you as I marveled at the uniqueness of your penman- ship. Im sure , as they say, that our handwring reveals a lot about our personalies, but I just soaked up the uniqueness and creaveness of each one and marveled at the work of grace that is alive in you. It was neat. But, it wasnt long unl I was capvated by one other detail: the way you addressed and signed your cards: YourAssumpon family! The importance of belonging to and having a family is essenal for all of us (in good mes and in rough mes). That is what we just celebrated at Christmas! Jesus Christ became man to help us to understand that we share in His humanness and form part of Gods family. God began the whole act of Redempon through a Holy Family and He connues His work of redempon through our holy families and us striving to be holy within family. I believe we come together and come closer to our own families in mes of great joy and celebraon as well as mes of great distress and suffering. I recognize this when I send out my newsleers. I share our accomplishments, goals reached and projects that became reality. I also share our concerns, needs and even our weaknesses. Im able to do this because I feel part of a family….and I feel supported and loved. So, not only is this a thank you leer for your generosity, kindness and thoughulness, but also a thank you for allowing me to feel loved and welcomed as part of the Assumpon family. And as we all know and have hearda family that prays together remains together! Please be assured of my prayers from you and I humbly ask for your prayers as well so that I may connue to give of myself with joy in my heart and a smile on my face. Thank you again. Let nothing disturb you,

Let nothing frighten you,

All things are passing away:

Dear Assumption family, A blessed New Year to you and your loved ones. It gives me great joy to write a few lines to you. The secretary at the Diocesan Center is so kind to me that she takes a picture of Christmas Cards that I get and then emails them to me. The other day I open the email and was delighted to find a two Christmas cards from you…with all of your signatures, smily faces and words of encouragement. I thanked the Lord for each of you as I marveled at the uniqueness of your penman-ship. I’m sure , as they say, that our handwriting reveals a lot about our personalities, but I just soaked up the uniqueness and creativeness of each one and marveled at the work of grace that is alive in you. It was neat. But, it wasn’t long until I was captivated by one other detail: the way you addressed and signed your cards: “Your” Assumption family! The importance of belonging to and having a family is essential for all of us (in good times and in rough times). That is what we just celebrated at Christmas! Jesus Christ became man to help us to understand that we share in His humanness and form part of God’s family. God began the whole act of Redemption through a Holy Family and He continues His work of redemption through our holy families and us striving to be holy within family. I believe we come together and come closer to our own families in times of great joy and celebration as well as times of great distress and suffering. I recognize this when I send out my newsletters. I share our accomplishments, goals reached and projects that became reality. I also share our concerns, needs and even our weaknesses. I’m able to do this because I feel part of a family….and I feel supported and loved. So, not only is this a thank you letter for your generosity, kindness and thoughtfulness, but also a thank you for allowing me to feel loved and welcomed as part of the Assumption family. And as we all know and have heard…a family that prays together remains together! Please be assured of my prayers from you and I humbly ask for your prayers as well so that I may continue to give of myself with joy in my heart and a smile on my face. Thank you again. Continue to stay safe during the pandemic. Sr. Carla Students were given the opportunity to dress down the week before Christmas break for a donation of $5.00 to go to Sister Carla in Lima Peru. We were able to send the “Daughters of Pieta” a check for $725.00. Thank you to all who helped make this possible.

Attention Assumption Catholic School families.

We pride ourselves on being one big family here at ACS, so when a family member asks for help, we like to try and assist them the best way we can. With that being said, we have a very special young lady who attends ACS that lives with the disease Friedrich Ataxia. The family has reached out to us and let us know that there's a letter getting signatures for FDA approval of a drug that can benefit those with Friedrich's Ataxia. This drug slows the progression of the disease, and aids in relief from FA symptoms. This student and others like her could benefit from this drug, currently the only one of its kind available. The family asked, if as a school system, we could reach out to all of our parents and/or students to sign the petition to help get this drug approved? If this is something you would be willing to support, the petition can be signed at: https://curefa.org/advocacy (Select the "A Friend to the FA community" as your identification selection) Thank you for your consideration.
