AIEUROPEWhat is your vision and analyze of the AI market’s maturity today? Which perspectives of evolution in the next decade?

AI has been around for more than 30 years but has not delivered on the promise yet. Even though the definition of machines learning from their mistakes is not as widespread as expected in our daily lives, there are certain disciplines of AI that exploded. Machine learning is one of them with a lot of excitement around deep learning. In the next decade depending on what the legal framework will al-low we could have machines writing code, improving themselves creating better versions of themselves. Stephen Hawking said during a speech in Sydney that this may be a dangerous path to take. Let’s meet and debate.

AIEUROPEHow do you think that AI is going to impact and disrupt the economy?

The obvious answer is that certain professions will cease to exist. Also some companies that will not manage to re-invent themselves will go out of business. The good news is that new organizations and jobs will emerge as a result.

In the sector of customer insights where DigitalMR is active, disruption will come by democratizing access. Instead of customer insights derived from unstructured data being only available to blue-chip multinationals, AI will make it more accessible to SMES as well.

Predictive analytics will en-hance or replace business intelligence which is more like the rearview mirror rather than looking forward into the horizon. Executives with foresights are much more powerful than those with hindsight or even insight.
