Message from

Local Committee President, 2011-12

Dear Stakeholder’s of AIESEC IIT Kharagpur,

It gives me immense pleasure in introducing to you all, the first ever stakeholder report of

AIESEC IIT Kharagpur. The report contains a brief account of the activities which AIESEC IIT

Kharagpur has undertaken till now in 2011 and is planning to conduct till December 2011.

The report is also a means of interacting more with you so that we can get the best possible

input from our stakeholders and can ensure better client servicing.

Also through this report we plan to present you all further opportunities to interact with us so

that we can collectively create a positive impact on the Society.

Coming to the current scenario of AIESEC IIT Kharagpur, we have progressed hugely since last

year, after becoming an independent local entity of AIESEC India in January, 2011. We are

having a healthy membership of 60 young individuals of IIT Kharagpur who are proactively

working on various projects and events in the organization.

In terms of activities and projects we have come up with some path breaking initiatives for

the student of IIT Kharagpur. We initiated a project called Aarohan, in Jamshedpur on Rural

development, conducted an event called Balakalakaar involving 550 NGO Kids and have

started running research projects with foreign interns under IIT Kharagpur’s esteemed

faculty.

In October we are coming up with a unified forum for youth and corporates to come and

interact and discuss innovation and corporate sustainability. The event will be called Youth

to Business Summit 2011.

I would request you all to go through the report and any kind of feedback or support from

your side in any of our activities would be really appreciated.

I promise a better stakeholder servicing by AIESEC IIT Kharagpur in future and look forward to

more communication from your side.

Best Regards,

Shubhanshu Mishra
