Opening Thought

This is one important picture which has been in my mind with a similar thought since I commenced with the last quarter 2 months back in October. Now since we are moving towards setting up the new leaderhip body I feel to share this thought with you. Its time for you all to ensure to make 2013 a healthy year to start what you do NOW in order to experience your end to 2012 and the healthiest start you can ever have right from 1/1/2013. The newsletter will state a lot of things which will enlighten you with some more thoughts from my side and a lot of diverse informations too.

Hello AIESEC Indore, After a long time I publishing newsletter where I shall cover as much as I can to update you with current affairs and keep all of us on board. It has been almost a month I have been not publishing newsletters due to a lot of things came up all together exams, elections, EB applications, vacation, etc which kept me engaged. I hope you all had a amazing Diwali with your family where personal life seemed a priority and which should always be also. This season is majorly a exam time where every one of us has exams and busy with studies. As I said in the last special LCM that this is the time where you learn time management and how you need to balance your studies, family, friends and AIESEC. Similarly hope you have seen in the EB applications also where I asked to set up your priorities among these 4 things you need to ensure that all the 4 things perfectly analyised and priorities and gain the experience which AIESEC gives you by balancing everything and have a sorted life. Last week has been amazing with the whole election process and the special LCM and GBM where we elected our new President for AIESEC Indore 2013-14 with showing a strong confidence. With this we also had been very successful with the exchange work and other LC operations which I shall update you in rest of the part of this newsletter. Annual Elections Day 2012.

AIESEC Indore witnessed the biggest Annual Election on 25th November ever where 65 members were appointed as voting members which are a record breaking number which our LC ever had and out of 65, 58 is the total number of final voting members who voted after being present in the whole Election Day. Thank You to all those members who came and were present in the whole election and voted for the right person you thought and chose. Annual Elections Day 2012 was also big in sense of the 4 candidates who stood up for the LCP 2013 role and one of the candidates was from the Management Body which is a great achievement for all the MB members of AIESEC Indore. This has truly proved that leadership in AIESEC Indore is now a strong and sustainable asset which can lead to new heights for our LC. The Elections was successful and we have our new “LCP” for our Local Committee for the year 2013. Congratulations to Indraneel Roy Choudhary for making it and AIESEC Indore wishes you all the very best for your President’s term in 2013. Congratulations to Arun Nair, Vandit Jain and Divya Pratap Singh for your application and AIESEC Indore is immensely proud to have you as the part of our Local Committee and to present the most wonderful Presentation and amazing plans for AIESEC Indore 2013. AIESEC Indore wishes you all 3 of you good luck towards yoyr future term. I would also like to Thank Nagendra Mishra to Chair the Annual Election Day 2012 of AIESEC Indore and made it so amazing and lively for everyone of us to experience a wonderful election day with making everything fair and helped AIESEC Indore to take a correct decision to choose our leader for 2013. Special Thanks to Richmond from Ghana, a GIP Incoming trainee to be a returning officer of our Annual Election Day and got the international flavour in the LC forum.

AIESEC Indore Executive Body Application for 2013-14 (Deadlines Extended to 5/12/2012)

Having said this, I really expect all of you to give big thoughts towards this application and need to understand the importance of this leadership opportunity. This is something BIG and which never comes regularly to you in AIESEC. With this thought I extend the deadline of EB Applications for 2013-14 to 5/12/2012 11:59 P.M. needs to be sent to me at shiva1.aiesec@gmail.com and to the LCPe indraneelroychoudhary.aiesec@gmail.com before the deadline time. This is the last and the final deadline for all of you. Interviews shall commense from 12/12/2012 and schedules will be announced by 8/11/2012. Balakalakar Updates 2012:

1. Times of India is In. Times of India will be one of the official sponsorers and associates of Balakalakar 2012 with AIESEC Indore.

2. The organizing Committee is prepared with the budget of the event and we shall present it online very very soon.

3. Balakalakar and Light the Night (Sky Lantern)

event will happen together on two consecutive days 23rd Light the Night and 24th Balakalakar with a target of impacting with more than 2,000 lives in Indore.

4. Balakalakar 2012 will be involving more than 10 NGOs in the city with 5-8 corporates associates.

Local Committee Meeting 19.0

I am glad to introduce and invite you in the next Local Committee Meeting as 19.0. LCMs now in 2012 will have more of leadership sessions mainly known as LEAD will happen. Because we have the new leadership coming in place very soon we will have special training sessions for the whole LC members for learning and education about leadership and leading of members in AIESEC. LCM 19.0 will be an introduction of these LEADs which I spoke about above. With a lot of excitement I would like to invite all of you in LCM 19.0 and come together to be learned Leaders and give AIESEC Indore a trained leadership body.

Closing Thought

This quote is agreed and proved in AIESEC especially by every AIESECer who has been under a leadership role. Learning is a regular activity which is similar to every one of us where we do AIESEC or not but the processes and the culture which we are part of always makes us learn something to us. Just a small thought on the same, everyone of you should always remember that in AIESEC and in life that you are never ready with anything to do, you only think you are because you have plans or may be strong plans, until or unless you don’t experience the time and situation you do not know what the result will be. And the main point and conclusion is that you should always be open to a space to learn and be ready to experience something new. I hope you all enjoyed reading this newsletter.
