Monomial times a polynomial
For multiplying a monomial with a polynomial, use the distributive property.
(5x3)(4x + 6x2) 1) Distribute (multiply) the number outside the
parentheses to the first term.
(5x3)(4x + 6x2)
2) Add a plus sign.
3) Multiply the term in front of the parentheses with the second term.
(5x3)(4x + 6x2)
4) Now we are multiplying monomials!
