“GOD IS STILL IN
BATTLING WITH THE QUESTION OF VACCINATION?
Remember when we all had to be vaccinated as babies and later before we could enter school?????
Our parents did not hesitate. We as parents did what we had to do to protect our children.
I cannot tell you what to do. I can only give my own personal testimony and experience.
The Dilemma?
People were not in an uproar questioning what was recommended for our family
health at that time. As a result, many lives were saved. Measles at one time was re-
portedly wiped out in this country.
The Much Anticipated
Outing!
My husband and I had planned and looked forward to an outing to Maggie’s Valley in August along with some of our other friends. Maggie Valley lodge is situat- ed in North Carolina’s stunning Great Smoky Mountains. The accommodations had every- thing one could imagine and enjoy: three spa- cious bedrooms and joining bathrooms, large screen television, hot tubs, shower, a wrap- around porch overlooking a running creek, grill and large screen television.
This outing had everything one could possibly want or enjoy. An outing fit for a King & Queen.
What could possibly go wrong?
An uninvited guest? You guessed it. COVID
19 was looming unexpectedly.
How Did COVID GET TO MAGGIE’S VALLEY?
There were three couples in all who made the trip to Maggie’s Valley. One of the ladies had COVID unbeknown to her and to us. I didn’t detect any real symptoms. My husband and I had followed the other
couples in our own vehicle.
After an enjoyable outing to Maggie’s Valley when we returned home on Sunday, we felt fine. When
we received a call the following week, we were informed that the ladies’ husband had to be hospitalized, not once but twice. Another lady in the group also tested positive.
Upon hearing this news, I immediately made an appointment for me and my husband to be tested by our physician. My husband was fortunate by testing negative, but I tested positive. I think my immune system was com-
promised from having both of my knees replaced at the same time, and the medication I was on.
The Story Doesn’t End There:
The Praise Report
Even though I tested positive for COVID, I did not experience any side effects or take any extra medi- cation. I was already taking seasonal allergy pills. But we did the responsible thing, by quarantining and fol- lowing the recommended protocols to prevent any one else from becoming contaminated. I have developed antibodies now against this terrible disease. The doctor said we would be fine. The lady has now tested negative.
The outcome could have been different though. Had I not chosen to get vaccinated (despite personal
challenges of my knee surgery to do so). God is so good - all the time. Nobody was infected by me that caused hospitalization or possible death. I would have hated
that on my conscience. From my own personal experi- ence, please do not tempt fate. People are dying every-
day because they decided not to get vaccinated.
Please do not be one of them.
TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL THINE HEART.
FACTS ABOUT THE VACCINATIONS
Editor’s Note: This information is from the Virginia Health Department to provide its’ citizens with the most factual and accurate information.
Is COVID-19 common in persons who have been fully vaccinated?
When levels of COVID-19 community transmission are high, the risk of getting COVID-19 is higher for everyone, including people who are vaccinated. However, COVID-19 infections in people who are fully vaccinated represent a small percentage of reported cases. Because no vaccine is 100% effective, some breakthrough cases are expected. As the number of people who are vaccinated increases, so will the number of vaccine breakthrough cases, but this does not mean the vaccine is not working. Vaccines are designed to reduce the risk of severe illness and death. In most cases, vaccinated people who become infected and get sick have mild illness and may be sick for a shorter period of time. Asymptomatic infections among vaccinated people may also occur. Hospitalizations and deaths among vaccinated people are rare.
COVID-19 vaccines prevent the spread of the virus and severe outcomes, like hospitalization or death. Even though the COVID-19 survival rate is considered to be high, rates of death due to COVID-19 vary widely depending on age, gender, and underlying health conditions. It's also important to remember that getting vaccinated is not only about surviving. Getting vaccinated for COVID-19 works really well to prevent severe illness and hospitalization or long-term outcomes of COVID-19 illness, called ‘long COVID.’ Getting vaccinated helps to prevent hospitals from getting overwhelmed. Overwhelming hospitals can mean there may be fewer or no beds or healthcare staff to take care of people.
