Ainsley Polo

Ainsley Polo is the creation of two brothers, Ross and Kel Ainsley, who share a world renowned passion and talent for horses and polo.

For many years, Ainsley Polo has produced some of the best polo ponies in the world. its ponies have taken part in most major tourna-ments, including the Cartier Queen‘s Cup at Guards, the Gold Cup at Cowdray‘s, the Argentine Open, and New Zealand‘s own Polo Open.

Ross Ainsley, widely considered one of the best polo horsemen of his generation, has now redesigned the polo saddle and tack to help you - pro or amateur - ride and play your very best.

Wembley

Trained by Ross Ainsley, Wembley has been ridden by top polo talents and teams throughout his amazing career, including Memo and Carlos Gracida, Bautista Heguy, Nic Roldan, Pelón Stirling, Sapo Caset, Alejo Taranco and Tomás García del Río.

Wembley retired at the US Open in April 2016 at the age of 23.Wembley played by Sapo Caset (hcp 10)

The Ainsley Polo saddle

The saddle puts you in the ideal position, allowing you to react faster and gives you a confident and well-balanced half seat and hitting platform.

The raised pommel and the signature rough-out leather gives you incredible grip and reach.

The forward centre of gravity, wide memory foam panels and raised pommel reduce the risk of injury to your pony‘s back and withers.

A reinforced saddle tree and the rough-out leather creates a sad-dle that will outlast most other polo saddles.

We spend 70-80% of the time in half seat

The geometry of many polo saddles places the player‘s centre of gravity too far back and thus too far away from the half seat. The Ainsley Polo saddle puts you in the ideal position.

“I really like the saddle! I like the grip and the position it gives you on the horse and think it helps to ride the ponies the way I understand a polo pony to be ridden!“

CHRIS KIESEL (2), Polo manager at Polo Bern, CH

LUCAS LABAT (6), ARG

TOM MORLEY (6), UK

“The saddles are the most comfortable saddles I have ever used“

GLEN GILMORE (7), Eller-ston polo manager, AUS

“Ross‘ saddles position me better and allow me to pivot into the perfect hit-ting position much quicker than other saddles“

RUKI BAILLIEU (8 - former 9-goaler - the highest rated player ever in AUS)

Nina Clarkin polo saddle by Ainsley Polo Together with Ross, Nina has designed her ideal polo saddle, incorpo-rating all of the benefits of the Ainsley Polo saddle, but with a slightly modified saddle tree, which also accommodates ponies with wider shoulders, and with an eye catching, signature purple seat made from the same rough-out leather as the proven Ainsley Polo saddle.

Ainsley Polo bridles

All parts are reinforced, easy to fit and change.

The reins are perfect length, elim-inating tangling with whips, knee-pads or other players.

Nosebands that stay in place, al-lowing your pony to breathe freely.

Made from soft but robust dark brown, very durable leather - beautiful quality and excellent stitching.

Ainsley Polo bits

Three key characteristics set the Ainsley Polo bits apart from most other bits used in polo:

1) Most modern bits are too light and remain up in the horse‘s mouth for too long. These bits have more weight to allow gravity to release the bit instantly, signalling to the horse the request or reward you need it to understand.

2) Many bits do not have a smooth finish. These bits are entirely smooth with no edges to catch any part of the mouth while mov-ing through the mouth or over the tongue, bars or lips.

3) All bits have an even and perfect thickness, creating an even pres-sure for optimal communication with your horse.
