He/she is responsible for ensuring conformity with all existing and new processes, and leads work teams in identifying improvements to existing maintenance processes and repair capabilities, and oversees their implementation.

The Senior Workshop Engineer leads in troubleshooting and rectification of defects, investigates their root causes and conducts failure analyses, collates data, monitors and tracks to resolve technical and service problems involving repair processes.

He is also involved in ‘lean’ activities and continuous improvement programmes.

The Senior Workshop Engineer is responsible for training new hires and in-house personnel on existing and new maintenance, repair and operations procedures.

Aircraft MaintenanceThe Senior Engineer (NDT Level 3) manages the organisational non-destructive testing (NDT) inspection systems to meet regulatory requirements and ensures all NDT inspections comply with requirements of the customer and EN 4179, NAS 410, NADCAP and/or original equipment manufacturer (OEM), as appropriate.

He/she oversees NDT processes and ensures that all shipments of finished components are in compliance with all requirements.

He develops special process control plans, as well as manages and maintains equipment and operator certification programmes.

He monitors the results of NDT for trends and corrective actions, and conducts quality audits to ensure compliance to the Engineering Standards Manual and NDT requirements.

The Senior Engineer (NDT Level 3) also conducts relevant training to NDT personnel in the organisation to maintain their knowledge currency.

Aircraft MaintenanceThe Senior Quality Engineer develops the organisation quality system, and manages internal and external supplier audits and certifications.

He/she also takes part in quality investigation, impact analyses and first article inspection processes. He oversees the technical library to ensure the Maintenance Organisation Exposition, Quality Management System, Safety Management System and Training Manual are updated.

He sanctions alternative processes and tooling, and leads the implementation of new inspection technologies to improve processes, reliability and productivity.

The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for training new hires and ensuring individual proficiency levels are maintained. He drives continuous improvement through the use of process improvement tools. He may also be authorised by the company, in accordance with procedures acceptable to the Authority, to certify aircraft components for release to service.

The Foreman/Operations Manager/Programme Manager oversees and provides guidance on maintenance, repair and inspection of aircrafts.

He/she supervises all maintenance personnel and optimises the use of available manpower and other resources to meet functional, business, and organisational objectives. He manages Licensed Aircraft Engineers and technical personnel to accomplish maintenance functions, in accordance with relevant technical data, original equipment manufacturer’s manuals and regulatory requirements. As a subject matter expert, he is responsible for developing works instructions, quality control, repair and test documents, and establishing solutions to technical engineering issues. He also demonstrates awareness and understanding of Environment, Health and Safety and Safety Management Systems and works proactively to eliminate risks.

The Foreman/Operations Manager/Programme Manager drives continuous improvement in the facility, either individually or as part of a team that includes operations, quality and materials procurement personnel. He works with the operations team to develop and drive cost saving measures.
