Airport Development Program OverviewThe Airport Development Program (ADP) team is responsible for the management and delivery of multiple projects within LAWA’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP). These include Airside, Landside and Utilities Infrastructures across the LAX and VNY sites.
Shown below is a list of active and recently completed ADP projects.

Airport Police FacilityPROJECT OVERVIEW
Redevelopment of 12 Acres at the northeast corner of Westchester Parkway and Loyola Blvd. This will include a new headquarters building, a new parking structure, and a series of new indoor & outdoor functional spaces for LAWA's Airport Police Division (APD). This project consolidates eight existing standalone APD facilities under one roof. Designer: Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM)Contractor: Hensel Phelps

Secured Area Access PostPROJECT OVERVIEWNew Secured Area Access Post (SAAP) provides a permanent replacement to Post 21and to provide Air Operations Area (AOA) access for the west side of LAX. This project also includes World Way West utility infrastructures adjacent to SAAP including, Deluge Waterline and Pump House Upgrade, LADWP RS-X Ductbank, and Recycled waterDesigner: HKSContractor: GriffithSchedule: 2020 – 2022Project Direct Cost: $72M (Partially FAA Grant Funded)Design is complete.

PROJECT OVERVIEWRehabilitation of two Runways (RWYs), 16L-34R and 16R-34L. RWY 16L scope includes demolition of existing Asphalt Concrete (AC) pavement and reconstructing new structural AC including shoulders and connecting taxiways; repainting of airfield markings and reinstalling RWY lighting. 16R scope involves the application of slurry seal on the RWY pavement as well as adjacent areas and repainting all affected pavement markings.
