Airspan: Strong Market Share

Rapid growth for WiMAX market:

LONDON (WiMAX Day). Infonetics Research reported this week the findings of a new reoport that indicate worldwide sales for both fixed and mobile WiMAX equipment increased 6% in Q3 2007 to US$206 million. In addition, Infonetics note that unit shipments of WiMAX equipment rose 16% in Q3. The report forecasts that manufacturerrevenue for WiMAX equipment will “grow at a 5-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 87% between 2006 and 2010.” The report also noted that the companies Alvarion and Airspan were the leading WiMAX equipment suppliers based on equipment revenues for the third quarter.
