Aiya – more than tea
As Matcha is traditionally processed to form a fine powder, there are endless possibilities for Matcha-based products – from milk and yogurt to chocolate and ice cream – with impressive results in terms of taste, colour and customer acceptance.
Aiya – global market leader in the production of Matcha
Aiya produces Matcha in its highest quality. Our teas are not only loved by masters of the traditional Japanese tea ceremony, but also enjoy great popularity in the tea, food and beverage industries. We hold 90% of the market share of Matcha tea for further processing.
Aiya teas are among the safest tea products in the world. As a market leader for Matcha tea and tea products for the industry, complying with strict international food standards is a must. The high food safety and hygiene standards have been acknowledged by several accolades: Aiya is not only the first Matcha producer to be FSSC 22000 certified (plus AIB Superior rated) but also fulfils the quality criteria established by the EU-BIO, NOP-BIO and JAS-BIO guidelines. Our products are furthermore kosher and halal and selected ones are Rainforest Alliance certified.
We do not only produce green tea, our mindset is also green – tea must be produced under the best environmental conditions. As such, back in 1978 we were one of the first tea companies ever to start cultivating organic tea. Our 40 years of experience in organic cultivation have resulted in a previously inconceivable combination: Aiya organic tea represents highest level of cleaness and reliability combined with the high quality of conventional teas.
