A.K.A. KNOWLEDGE
ARDUINO - KICKSAT -ARDUSAT
INTRODUCTION
• There are many technologies and programs like the Arduinos, the
ArduSat and the KickSat
• This technologies help us to expand our knowledge and facility the
research
• We are going to present want is Arduino, ArduSat and KickSat
ARDUINO
ARDUINO MEGA 2560
• Open source electronics
prototyping platform
• Easy to use hardware and
software
• Can sense the environment
by receiving input from a
variety of sensors
ARDUINO MEGA 2560
• Is a microcontroller board
based on the ATmega2560
• 54 digital input/output pins
and 16 analog inputs
• Can be programmed with
the Arduino software
WHAT WE CAN DO WITH THE ARDUINO?
• Robotics
• Agriculture
• Speech

ARDUSAT
WHAT IS AN ARDUSAT?
• ArduSat’s are open-source arduino-based nanosatellites (based on
the CubeSat) developed by NanoSatisfi.
• They will have an extensive sensor-suite onboard and will allow
users to upload their own code and run their own experiments.
WHY AN ARDUSAT?
• ArduSats are based on CubeSats, but CubeSats alone are still
fairly expensive—a few hundred grand. ArduSats are cheaper
satellites and more accessible that can be created by students or
anyone interested in building a satellite.
WHAT THE ARDUSAT WILL USE
TO WORK?
WHAT IS THE MAIN FUNCTION
OF AN ARDUSAT?
• The main function of the Ardusat is to send and receive data from
a computer.
• The ardusat satellite has many sensors but the sensors that are
used for the ardusat satellite depend on what are your expecting to
analize in your investigation.
KICKSAT
WHAT IS KICKSAT?
• Small satellite project
• 3U CubeSat containing 200 “Sprite”
• Amateur radio CubeSat technology demosntration mission
• It will be launched in September 2013
• Project crowd-funded through Kickstarter
• Sprites
• Femtosatellite with a measurement of 3.8 square cm and a
thickness of 2.5 mm
• Includes power, sensor, and communication systems on a
printed circuit board.
• Intended as a general-purpose sensor platform for micro-
electro-mechanical or other chip-scale sensors with the ability to
downlink data.
SPACECRAFT “SPRITE”
SPACECRAFT “SPRITE”
SPRITE BACKGROUND
• Space dust
• Inspired by the Sputnik Launch in 1957
“SPRITE” APPLICATIONS
• Environmental Props
• Interplanetary chemist
• In-orbit inspection
• Interstellar explorers
