This second capsule col lect ion of luxe s ta tement necklaces by Nicole Akong pays homage to the t radi t ional role of jewel lery as the ul t imate physical adornment to convey s ta tus and power, and

br ings i t to the modern world of high fashion.

To execute the creat ive vis ion behind the col lect ion, the designer searched far and wide for the mater ia ls and techniques used to

produce these exquis i te handmade pieces . Beaut i ful ly sof t feather and faux fur t r ims are s t i tched into chunky 18-carat gold plated

chains , embel l ished with crystals , glass , chain fr inges, gold dangles and f inished with velvet bows; del icate chains are woven

together to produce shimmering and f luid ‘fabrics’ that can be worn as embel l ished col lars and bibs — resul t ing in pieces that

are both hard and sof t ; bold, yet extremely del icate .

I t i s this wonderful ly unexpected marr iage of delectable textures and colours has come to be the dis t inct ive s ignature of
