PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project involves the construction of 3 luxury residential towers, comprising two 74-storey towers and one 52-storey tower, along with a 7-storey podium including a basement, a ground floor and five floors of retail and car park with over 2,000 spaces.

The project will o�er 1,460 apartments and 11 penthouses with exclusive leisure facilities for residents that will include swimming pools, a gym and spa, shops, cafes, supermarket and clinics.

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS

Sika specified the structural glazing adhesive Sikasil® SG-500 CN and Sikasil® SG-18 for the glass to aluminium bonding, Sikasil® IG-25 as secondary edge seal of insulating glass, SikaHyflex®-305 EU for weather sealing and SikaGlaze® GG-735 for glass balustrade.

Sika's successful involvement in this landmark project is largely due to the very good relationship with ALUMCO LLC, our well established technical service centre allowing a fast response time and our unique Middle East laboratory based in Dubai.

SIKA SOLUTION

� Sikasil® IG-25 is used as a secondary seal for manufacturing insulating glass units.

� Sikasil® SG-500 CN is used for bonding the insulating glass unit to the aluminium frame during the manufacturing process in the factory.

� Sikasil® SG-18 is mainly used for onsite repair work to bond the replacement glass on to the aluminium frame.

� SikaHyflex®-305 EU is used as a sealant between the panels to fill the gap.

� SikaGlaze® GG-735 is used as a grout for balcony glass embedding.
